Pure Storage enhances partner programme for as-a-service era
Fri, 1st Mar 2024

Pure Storage, the IT company that offers data storage technologies and services, is set to greatly improve its partner programme. This move is aimed at enhancing partner support, granting them more scale and preference, with a view to aligning more closely with their unique business models. Exclusively delivering subscriptions through the channel, Pure Storage's latest revisions reflect an ongoing commitment to a service-led strategy.

As businesses across sectors continue to adapt to the subscription economy, their viability increasingly relies on willingness to change. Consequently, subscription services now earn nearly half of Pure Storage's revenue. Customers prefer to distribute payments over time due to the impact of new technology on their infrastructure requirements. Given the company’s leadership and rapid growth in subscriptions, Pure Storage, buoyed by major updates to the partner programme, is ideally suited to bolster business expansion in the as-a-service era.

Pure Storage has amalgamated partner feedback, customer requirements and company strategy to bring ongoing innovation to the Partner Programme. These developments aim to increase profitability, automate processes, develop advanced tools, and empower partners to drive business expansion. Establishing a new, easy Product and Services MSRP, Pure Storage is set to offer a programmatic discount conditioned by partner type, deal registrations and tier.

Significant updates to the existing quote configuration, pricing model and tools will now enable partners to formulate independent configurations and quotes through automation. In addition, backend electronic data exchange (EDI) integration for order placement will be improved. Developers are also working on enhancements for the Salesforce reporting experience, partner dashboard, and recruiting onboarding tools. The objective is to provide partners with a more cohesive platform experience.

Pure Storage also plans to launch a partner intelligence dashboard. This will grant partners more visibility into all their Pure Storage and customer engagements. These include insights into current business and pipeline, along with proactive upgrade/upsell/renewal opportunities.

Wendy Stusrud, VP of Global Partner Sales at Pure Storage, said: "As a service-led company, we are proud of our industry-leading subscription services and our partner-led approach. Pure Storage has been 100% channel-led since its founding. We recognise the pivotal role our partners play in delivering innovative storage solutions to clients around the globe. We aim to empower our partners to deliver greater value and impact in the as-a-Service economy to meet today’s ever-changing global technological demands."

Andrew Fisher, Area Vice President, Partners, Asia Pacific & Japan, Pure Storage, stated: "Our customers in the Asia Pacific & Japan region are increasingly exploring more flexible ways to consume technology. Pure Storage has responded with a wide array of data storage and management solutions that offer them a broad range of choices. The updates we are bringing to our partner programme will enable our channel partners in the region to meet those demands more effectively and profitably than ever before."
