PPRO promotes Motie Bring as CEO

Thu, 7th Sep 2023

In a momentous turn of events at the forefront of the digital payments landscape, PPRO—the preeminent platform in the sector—has entrusted the helm of the company to a seasoned executive with a remarkable track record. After conducting an exhaustive search spanning several months, the Board has chosen to elevate Chief Commercial Officer, Motie Bring, to the role of Chief Executive Officer. This pivotal shift in leadership comes into effect from 2nd October 2023, positioning Bring as the successor to Simon Black, the current CEO, who announced his decision to step down earlier this year.

Over a career spanning more than twenty years, Bring has cemented his reputation as a luminary in the payments industry, holding pivotal roles with global providers and demonstrating a knack for driving growth and transforming businesses. Before finding his place at PPRO, Bring delineated a series of successful chapters at Worldpay and Nuvei, where he held senior management and Chief Commercial Officer roles, respectively.

Bring’s ascendancy to the top echelon of the company has been met with widespread endorsement, not least from Lázaro Campos, Chairman of the PPRO Board, who professes, “With his passionate, customer-centric approach, breadth of payments experience and proven track record of developing, guiding and inspiring teams, Motie is the ideal leader to take PPRO to the next level as we focus on the many exciting growth opportunities that lie ahead.” Campos also took a moment to appreciate the departing CEO, stating, “I would also like to thank Simon Black for his great leadership since 2015, transforming PPRO into a pivotal industry pioneer with a unique proposition unlocking local markets for global payments players.”

The departing CEO, Simon Black, reflected on his tenure at the company with a sense of pride and accomplishment. “I am immensely proud of our great achievements over the past eight and a half years and I feel very privileged to have led such a talented team,” Black remarks. Projecting a promising trajectory for the company, he adds, “The business is well-positioned to accelerate growth and I have no doubt that, under Motie and the new leadership team, PPRO will go from strength to strength.”

As Bring stands on the cusp of steering PPRO into a promising future, he acknowledges the magnitude of the responsibility bestowed upon him. Expressing his sentiments on the appointment, Bring asserts, “I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead PPRO into a new era for payments, focusing on executing our exciting roadmap for growth and delivery to service our customers and partners.”

With Bring at the helm, stakeholders anticipate a promising voyage into a new era of innovation and growth, as PPRO continues to carve its path as a trailblazer in the digital payments ecosystem.
