Pete Wilson joins Illumio as Director of Channel Sales EMEA

Illumio has announced the appointment of Pete Wilson as their new Director of Channel Sales for the EMEA region. Based in the UK, Wilson will aim to expand Illumio's channel and alliance operations to address the growing demand for their Zero Trust Segmentation and Microsegmentation solutions in the area.

Wilson joins Illumio with over 20 years of experience in networking and security. His prior roles include positions at renowned technology firms RSA and SailPoint. Before his move to Illumio, he was the Director of EMEA partnerships at Okta, where he played a significant role in doubling revenue year-over-year by growing the Global Systems Integrators community in Europe. He also previously worked at Auth0, where he built the EMEA partner channel from scratch, significantly boosting revenue from hyperscalers within two years.

Wilson's primary objective at Illumio will be to fortify the company's partner-empowered ecosystem in the EMEA region and diversify its indirect go-to-market strategy. He will report to Todd Palmer, Senior Vice President of Global Partner Sales and Alliances at Illumio.

Commenting on Wilson's appointment, Palmer said, "The channel is instrumental to everything that we do at Illumio and EMEA is one of our most important markets. Gartner research indicates strong growth potential in the market. It predicts that by 2026, 60% of enterprises pursuing Zero Trust architecture will use more than one deployment form of Microsegmentation, up from less than 5% in 2023. This marks a significant opportunity for companies like Illumio, which offers Zero Trust Segmentation solutions.
