Pegasystems launches Pega Infinity 24.2 with AI upgrades

Pegasystems has announced the general availability of Pega Infinity 24.2, featuring enhancements aimed at improving user productivity and streamlining workflows through new generative AI capabilities.

The updated version of Pega Infinity 24.2 brings enhancements to a range of solutions, such as Pega Platform, Pega Customer Decision Hub, Pega Customer Service, and Pega Sales Automation. These improvements allow organisations to use AI for faster digital transformation, improving customer interactions, and automating workflows to enhance employee performance.

One key upgrade in the Pega Platform is increased flexibility in AI models, enabling clients to choose between models like Amazon Bedrock from AWS and Vertex AI from Google Cloud, beyond OpenAI. This expansion offers clients the flexibility to select models that align best with their business needs.

Another feature, Pega GenAI Blueprint, helps reduce time in application design by creating 'blueprints' from natural language descriptions.

Developers using Pega's low-code App Studio can benefit from task lists that assist in taking these designs through to production efficiently.

The Pega Constellation enhancements are designed to set a new standard in user experience frameworks, focusing on improved accessibility and user performance, thus enhancing the overall user interface.

Pega GenAI Coach, introduced previously for select applications, can now be integrated across any application on the Pega Platform. This generative AI-powered mentor advises users to achieve optimal outcomes and can be customised for different use cases.

Pega Customer Decision Hub sees updates that help marketers and data scientists gain deeper insights into customer data using predefined templates for customer journey orchestration. Additionally, integration with Snowflake and Google BigQuery facilitates better real-time decision-making, enhancing customer engagement.

The new Pega Message Stream feature lets marketers deliver and refine emails directly within Pega CDH, bypassing the need for a separate email service provider and enhancing customer interaction understanding.

Updates in Pega Customer Service and Pega Sales Automation include new self-service experiences and improved real-time decision support for agents.

Key features include a multi-experience panel and Pega GenAI Knowledge Buddy offering contextual answers in real time, along with enhanced video integration for sales meetings through platforms like Microsoft Teams.
