Panasonic launches Let's note FC7 laptop in Europe

Panasonic has launched the Let's note FC7 business laptop in Europe, marking the first time the Let's note brand has entered the region.
Available immediately, the device is aimed at mobile business users. Panasonic said the FC7 was designed, developed, engineered and assembled in Japan, with work carried out at its Kobe and Osaka facilities.
The launch brings a long-established Japanese laptop line into a new market as Panasonic looks to expand its presence in professional mobile computing beyond its Toughbook range, which is better known in Europe for rugged devices.
The FC7 is Panasonic's first Let's note Copilot+ PC. It runs on an Intel Core Ultra 5 Processor 335 with Intel vPro, and includes a 512GB solid-state drive, 16GB of LPDDR5x memory and Windows 11 Pro.
Panasonic said the machine is intended for users who need to handle demanding workloads while keeping data processing on the device. It presented that local processing as part of its AI-ready approach for business customers.
Mobility focus
The FC7 weighs just over 1kg and has a removable battery. Panasonic said battery life reaches up to 12.5 hours under MobileMark 30 testing at 250cd/m2 brightness, while a battery management function is designed to support long-term battery health through gradual charging.
The laptop has a 14-inch WUXGA display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, which Panasonic said gives users more vertical screen space for business applications and multitasking.
One of the more distinctive design features is the circular touchpad, long associated with the Let's note line in Japan. Panasonic said it is intended to support vertical and horizontal scrolling without users having to move their palms across a standard square pad.
Connectivity options include HDMI, Gigabit LAN, USB-A and Thunderbolt 4 ports, along with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Those choices reflect continued business demand for support for both newer wireless standards and a range of existing peripherals.
Durability testing
Panasonic said it drew on experience from its Toughbook notebook business in the FC7's design and testing. It carried out in-house testing on components including the keyboard and hinge, and said the device underwent proprietary vibration and drop tests based on MIL-STD-810H.
According to Panasonic, testing included 76cm drops from 26 different directions. The laptop uses a magnesium alloy body, while its black exterior has a ceramic coating with a hardness level of 4H to help resist scratches and wear.
The emphasis on durability suggests Panasonic is positioning the FC7 between mainstream premium business laptops and the fully rugged products that dominate parts of its mobile computing portfolio. At the same time, its low weight and compact format indicate it is aimed at office, hybrid and travelling professionals rather than field workers who need sealed or highly rugged hardware.
Dirk Weigelt, senior product & solutions manager at Panasonic, said the launch reflects the range's history and its user-led design approach.
"For more than three decades, the Let's note series has been developed around a simple principle: listening closely to users and continuously refining the experience to meet the realities of modern working life. With the European launch of the FC7, organisations can now benefit from a device that combines Japanese engineering, AI-ready performance, exceptional mobility, and the usability enhancements that have made Let's note such a trusted choice amongst business professionals," said Weigelt.
Panasonic Group reported consolidated net sales of EUR €46.0 billion for the year ended March 31, 2026.
