NormCyber launches digital risk protection to bolster cyber defence

Yesterday

NormCyber has announced the launch of its new Digital Risk Protection service, aiming to provide organisations with enhanced cyber defence capabilities. The service includes dark web monitoring, brand protection, and external attack surface management, offering companies what it describes as an "attacker's perspective" of their IT infrastructures.

Wayne Churchill, Chief Executive Officer of NormCyber, commented on the new service: "The importance of clarity and agility in modern cyber risk management cannot be overstated. Many organisations still struggle to build a comprehensive picture of their risk exposure and cyber resilience. Our new service solves this burning challenge by giving them access to real-time threat intelligence and helping them understand what preventative actions to prioritise."

NormCyber's Digital Risk Protection is designed to analyse an organisation's entire digital footprint. The service aims to deliver comprehensive protection against both internal and external cyber security threats from a single platform. It consists of three main components: External Attack Surface Management, Brand Protection, and Dark Web Monitoring.

External Attack Surface Management is focused on providing real-time insight into an organisation's digital infrastructure. This module delivers alerts about potential vulnerabilities, including internet-facing unmanaged assets, misconfigured systems, security certificate issues, and leaked credentials.

Brand Protection aims to protect organisations' reputations by identifying and stopping cyber threats such as phishing campaigns, brand impersonations, fake social media accounts, and fraudulent mobile applications. This component is designed to maintain 24/7 vigilance over brand-related cyber risks.

Dark Web Monitoring leverages advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to provide tailored threat intelligence. This includes detailed information on threat actors, ransomware intelligence, and real-time evidence of ongoing attacks.

Churchill elaborated on the company's mission: "At Norm, we're experts at quantifying cyber risk and making the complex clear, and now our brand more closely reflects this mission. We are proud to unveil our bold new look and feel, and we're excited for the future as we reinforce our commitment to helping organisations scale with complete confidence."

The new service employs continuous monitoring, alerting, and actionable insights to help organisations bolster their security postures. By offering a clear perspective on digital risks, it enables businesses to prioritise remediation efforts more effectively.

The launch of Digital Risk Protection is part of NormCyber's broader strategy to provide end-to-end cyber security risk protection for mid-sized to enterprise-level organisations. The fully managed service integrates seamlessly with other modules in NormCyber's portfolio, which already includes data protection, human risk management, testing, compliance, and assessment services.

NormCyber has also revealed a new brand identity, which the company believes better reflects its evolved market focus and dedication to delivering measurable, cost-effective solutions.

"Our new service aims to empower organisations by providing them with real-time threat intelligence, making it easier for them to stay ahead of potential cyber threats. This proactive approach is essential for maintaining robust cyber defences in today's digital landscape," added Churchill.
