Nexer achieves fifth year of growth despite tech sector downturn

Fri, 30th May 2025

Nexer Enterprise Applications has reported a 35% year-on-year increase in turnover for the financial year ending December 2024, marking its fifth consecutive year of growth.

The company, which specialises in Microsoft ERP, CRM, and PowerPlatform digital transformation, has seen its team expand rapidly from a single employee at its inception in October 2019 to more than 60 staff members operating across the UK.

This growth has occurred during a period of economic uncertainty, where industry-wide technology spending has fallen and a number of competitors have reduced their headcounts. Despite these challenges, Nexer has not only increased its turnover by 30% compared with its figures for the year ending December 2020, but has also retained every customer since 2020.

Client and employee attrition rates have remained below 1% over the past five years, which the company attributes to its focus on both customer service and employee welfare.

One of the company's notable client projects includes the recent go-live of a five-year, multi-million-pound digital transformation initiative for The Regatta Group, a global group specialising in outdoor and workwear clothing brands.

Nexer has also expanded its Microsoft Business Central service in response to increasing demand from smaller businesses seeking standardised and cost-effective Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation solutions.

Colin Crow, Managing Director at Nexer Enterprise Applications, said: "The success that Nexer Enterprise Applications is experiencing at its five-year UK milestone is testament to what we've always believed; when you look after your people, they look after your clients, ensuring satisfaction and project success."

He continued: "It's no secret that we're operating against a challenging economic backdrop; we've already navigated the business implications of the pandemic, war, and cost of living crisis, and continue to face uncertainty around taxes, exchange rates, and global policy shifts. But our business remains agile and stable, and tech is perhaps more business-critical than ever. We firmly believe that we offer more than just system implementation - we provide a holistic solution to unique operational challenges and identify opportunities for our clients to thrive."

Crow added: "This will stand us in good stead as we look ahead to the next five years. Our emphasis on employee care; prudent resourcing model that combines expert consultancy across the UK and Ireland with skilled offshore teams; and Solution First approach will support us to drive the next phase of growth."

The company currently maintains a strong new business pipeline and has a solid order book for 2025, despite wider economic and geopolitical challenges. Since the start of 2025, Nexer has hired ten new staff members across the UK and Ireland, with recruitment continuing for roles to support further client transformation and business growth initiatives.

Nexer's client list includes businesses from manufacturing, field service, wholesale distribution, construction, retail, and fashion sectors, reflecting the company's broad sectoral reach during its five years of operations.
