Miro debuts Engage to transform AI-powered workshops

Thu, 22nd Jan 2026

Miro has launched Miro Engage, an in-platform engagement tool that collects audience input during meetings and workshops directly within its collaborative canvas. The product includes AI-powered synthesis to summarise and identify themes from participant responses.

In-Canvas Participation

Miro positions Engage as an alternative to standalone polling or audience-response tools, which often store participant input outside the workspace, creating extra steps for organisers. Engage runs entirely within the Miro canvas, allowing participants to join via a link or QR code.

"Miro has unlocked incredible ways for teams to think and build together. Now, with just a link or a scan, anyone can join the conversation - so you can tap into the full room's intelligence, easily and instantly," said Jakob Knutzen, Solutions GM, Workshops, Miro.

The tool supports meetings, workshops, training sessions, and presentations, from small groups to thousands of participants. All input collected feeds directly into the workspace driving the team's work.

Key Features

  • Live engagement formats: multiple-choice polls, word clouds, and open-ended questions with real-time display of results.

  • Cross-device participation: no account or prior experience required.

  • Hybrid support: online, in-person, and hybrid sessions can all be facilitated without switching tools.

  • Interactive canvas elements: spinner wheels, flip cards, videos, and diagrams.

  • Anonymous contributions for candid feedback.

  • AI-powered synthesis: identifies trends, surfaces key themes, and generates summaries.

"Collaborative intelligence is no longer a nice-to-have - it's a necessity. Miro Engage connects session insights to meaningful work and seamlessly integrates them into AI-enabled processes and collaborative workflows, dramatically accelerating the path from idea to impact," said Jeff Chow, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Miro.

Early Adoption

Early adopters include REWE Digital GmbH and Inter IKEA Systems, who highlighted Engage's ability to generate immediate interaction, maintain focus, and retain session outputs within the same workspace.

"The barrier to entry has dropped dramatically. Participants log in with mobile devices and start contributing instantly, creating noticeably more interaction, energy, and better results," said Kathleen Fenger, Agile Coach, REWE Digital GmbH.

Platform Reach

Miro Engage is part of Miro's broader collaborative canvas platform, which serves over 100 million users across 250,000 customers. Miro employs more than 1,600 people across 13 hubs globally.
