LoadMaster 360 updates enhance security & optimise performance

Progress has announced significant updates to its cloud-based unified application delivery platform, LoadMaster 360. This latest release introduces enhancements aimed at helping organisations protect their web applications against sophisticated cyberattacks and ensuring customers have an optimal application experience.

The key feature of this update is an enhanced Web Application Firewall (WAF). According to Progress, the new WAF provides improved security insights, reduces the time required for configuration and tuning, and easily distinguishes between false positives and legitimate application traffic. The intelligent false positive identification and smart rule tuning features in LoadMaster 360 are designed to simplify the process of securing applications.

Web applications are increasingly targeted by malicious actors looking to exploit vulnerabilities and gain unauthorised access to sensitive information. The Open Worldwide Application Security Project (OWASP)-based WAF filters can sometimes block legitimate users, affecting application performance. Conversely, disabling these filters without due consideration can expose applications to attacks.
