Kandji integrates with ServiceNow enhancing Apple platform's management

Kandji, the Apple device management and security platform, has announced an integration with ServiceNow to improve the overall management of Apple devices in commercial settings. This integration is expected to establish a seamless connection between the two platforms, automatically syncing the latest Apple fleet data from Kandji to ServiceNow's Configuration Management Database (CMDB).

The central highlight of this integration is Real-Time Data Syncing. This allows for the automatic syncing of updated Apple fleet data to ServiceNow's CMDB. Further, the integration also provides Enhanced Workflows as Kandji-managed device data can effortlessly integrate into onboarding, hardware management, and service delivery workflows.

An important feature for ServiceNow customers is that they can benefit from a streamlined and automated way to import device data into their existing CMDB without necessitating a new custom solution. Responding to the evolving needs of customers, Kandji and ServiceNow's joint venture promises to improve user experiences and drive client value.

ServiceNow's extensive partner ecosystem and partner programme, which support the $220 billion market opportunity for the Now Platform, also play a crucial role in this partnership. Registered Build Partner status allows ServiceNow administrators to utilise Kandji-managed device data in multiple processes. A unique aspect to note here, offering a differentiation in the Apple device management market, is Kandji's capability to push device data to ServiceNow's CMDB in real-time and continuously.

ServiceNow customers can now bring device data, such as the device name, model, and serial number, into their existing CMDB in an automated and streamlined manner. The ServiceNow API will automatically synchronise this data. Moreover, if a device is registered with Kandji or if enrolled device information changes, the integration will detect the change and update it in the client's ServiceNow instance.

Weldon Dodd, SVP, Community at Kandji, noted the importance of visibility, stating, "Nearly half of IT professionals agree that increased visibility across their entire Apple fleet would improve how they manage Apple devices." Erica Volini, the SVP of Global Partnerships at ServiceNow, also backed this integration and said, "Partnerships succeed best when we lean into our unique skills and expertise and have a clear view into the problem we're trying to solve." She highlighted the extended reach that Kandji's integration would give ServiceNow, expressing anticipation for the innovative services to be achieved via this partnership.

By bringing together Kandji's comprehensive device management platform with ServiceNow's enterprise resource management capabilities, this integration could enable organisations to sustain a secure and productive workforce, the company states. It addresses a business need for organisations by providing consolidated data in their IT management platform, alleviating a common pain-point in many businesses.
