Ipsotek to boost Romanian airports' security with AI tech contracts
Eviden Business affiliate, Ipsotek, has announced the receipt of three contracts to implement AI video analytics technology at Cluj, Sibiu, and Satu Mare airports based in Romania.
These projects, awarded through a partnership with UTI Construction and Facility Management (UTI CFM), focus on enhancing safety and operational efficiency in these travel hubs.
UTI CFM, boasting significant expertise in civil and critical infrastructure solutions, has worked hand in hand with Ipsotek on multiple projects in the past, such as their collaboration for Bucharest Henri Coanda Airport back in 2020. These latest ventures are setting substantial benchmarks for security, safety, and efficiency within Romanian airports.
Stephen Papaloizou, Ipsotek Account Manager for the UK & Europe, commented on the collaboration: "Partnering with UTI CFM has been instrumental in expanding our market presence in Romania."
"The company's formidable expertise and integration capabilities, coupled with Ipsotek's cutting-edge Video Analytics software, has allowed for the smooth introduction of advanced security solutions in the region."
The proposed implementations of Ipsotek's AI video analytics technology at the aforementioned airports are set to revolutionise security and operational processes.
Critical applications will include detecting abandoned luggage, monitoring unauthorised vehicle entries into restricted zones, identifying abandoned vehicles, and designing other video analytics solutions according to each airport's requirements.
By using Ipsotek's patented Scenario Based Rule Engine, actionable insights will be provided to streamline incident responses and ensure the security of travellers and airport staff.
UTI CFM, in operation since 1994, holds a strong reputation as a provider of specialised solutions for civil and critical infrastructure projects. The company has been a vital contributor in installing and integrating airport systems in Romania, substantially enhancing airport operational efficiency.
Tudor Radulescu, Technical Director at UTI CFM, shared his perspective: "Our fruitful partnership with Ipsotek has generated ground-breaking security solutions that Romanian airports greatly needed."
"Ipsotek's advanced Video Analytics software is a next-gen solution that brings tangible benefits to security operators by using AI to augment detection capabilities - those that might be overlooked even by experienced security control room operators."
He further added: "UTI CFM and Ipsotek are adept at crafting systems that are molded according to client needs and counter the security risks any enterprise faces."
Both Ipsotek and UTI CFM have stated they will work closely with the respective airport authorities throughout the deployment process scheduled for later this year. Each airport contract is a testament to Ipsotek's proven capabilities with over 140 airport deployments globally.
