FourKites launches AI digital workers to automate Europe’s supply chains
FourKites has introduced a suite of AI-powered digital workers in Europe aimed at automating key supply chain tasks, including appointment scheduling, document compliance, and customer service, alongside the launch of its natural language analytics solution, FourSight.
The newly launched AI agents, named Alan, Polly, and Cassie, are designed to relieve supply chain and logistics teams from routine, manual tasks that are traditionally time-consuming. The company says these solutions specifically target widespread productivity challenges in the sector, such as managing shipping documents, scheduling appointments, and handling customer enquiries.
Appointment scheduling
Alan is tasked with automating the complete appointment scheduling cycle. According to FourKites, Alan manages bookings via emails and portals, sends confirmations and updates, and handles rescheduling operations autonomously. The firm states that this can lead to faster confirmations, fewer missed appointments, and a centralised view of scheduling activity, freeing staff to focus on strategic priorities.
Document compliance
Polly serves as an AI-driven digital worker focused on document compliance. The company claims Polly operates around the clock, proactively requesting and validating necessary shipping documentation from all carriers, regardless of their technological capacity. This is designed to ensure that key paperwork, such as Proof of Delivery, is always available for processing payments, handling claims, and obtaining approvals. FourKites says Polly could reduce manual document follow-up by up to 95% and cut document collection times by up to 70%.
Customer service automation
Cassie is introduced to improve customer service efficiency. According to FourKites, this AI agent monitors shipments, responds instantly to tracking queries, provides customised updates, and auto-validates claims when submitted. The company reports that Cassie has the potential to handle up to 80% of standard customer service requests, which could result in up to 50% increase in human capacity for addressing more complex issues.
"These AI agents enable supply chain organisations to maintain consistent service levels while controlling operational costs, scale document compliance and customer service functions without proportional headcount increases, and transform routine operational challenges into automated workflows," says Jimmy Sebastian, Vice President, AI Products, FourKites. "This empowers teams to redirect their human expertise toward strategic, high-impact activities that drive the business forward."
Alan, Polly, and Cassie expand the digital workforce in Europe, joining existing AI agents Sam and Tracy. Since February, Tracy and Sam have reportedly managed over 85% of shipment exceptions autonomously, increased on-time delivery by more than 15%, and contributed to reductions in global inventory holdings.
AI analytics with FourSight
Simultaneous to the launch of its new digital workers, FourKites is making available FourSight, an analytics solution powered by artificial intelligence and natural language processing. The application allows users to pose questions in 24 languages, producing instant reports, dashboards, and visualisations without relying on Business Intelligence teams, according to the company.
FourSight provides users with the ability to investigate trends and anomalies, share dashboards, and set up automated alerts when critical metrics are crossed. These features are designed to support informed, timely decision-making and organisation-wide transparency, helping companies respond proactively to performance or compliance issues.
The company states that the deployment of Alan, Polly, Cassie, and FourSight advances its goal to provide supply chain leaders with automation and insights, reducing manual workloads, cutting unplanned costs, and improving customer satisfaction.
