Forterro launches Orderwise Cloud ERP for retail & e-commerce

Today

Forterro has announced the launch of Orderwise Cloud, a cloud-based ERP system tailored to the needs of retail, wholesale, warehousing, and e-commerce companies. The company, known for its software solutions in the industrial midmarket, aims to provide enhanced security, greater accessibility, and an array of integrated functionalities through this new platform.

Orderwise Cloud maintains full integration with major e-commerce platforms, such as eBay and Amazon, and offers the possibility of custom integration with other platforms. This new service is designed to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) while also improving operational efficiencies for its users.

Carrie Tallett, Orderwise Product Manager at Forterro, said, "The needs of our customers are always our main priority, and the launch of Orderwise Cloud is the step that SMEs in retail, warehousing, wholesale and e-commerce have wanted."

Tallett added, "Combining our sector experience and expertise with cloud benefits such as scalability, accessibility, high availability and functionality makes a compelling prospect. Approaching digital transformation can be daunting for SMEs, and Orderwise Cloud helps accelerate that journey while also delivering improved business performance."

The new platform is also highlighted for its strong focus on security. Forterro intends to provide constant monitoring and rapid threat investigation to reduce business and personal risks for its clients. By reducing staffing costs associated with IT management, eliminating hardware refreshes, and lowering unexpected expenditures, Forterro believes Orderwise Cloud will free up capital for other business priorities.

Steve Ridgley, Director of Product Development and Research at Forterro, said, "Cloud is an increasing focus for our customers and, therefore, also for us. Orderwise Cloud is based on 33 years of providing software to those sectors, and we have used all that accumulated learning to deliver cloud services and all the benefits that come with them. It's secure, flexible, and helps customers achieve their strategic goals."

The heating pump supplier Automated Environmental Systems (AES) is among the first users to adopt Orderwise Cloud. AES, a major supplier of pumps and pumping equipment in the UK, transitioned from an on-premise solution to benefit from the improved security and growth support offered by the cloud-based system.

Sarah Bones, System Process Analyst at AES, commented, "Security is a major concern for us, and the additional security features in Orderwise Cloud will help us keep the business secure and protected. It also means we don't need to spend valuable staff time on daily manual back-ups, and it opens up a whole range of other modules from which we can benefit. We have ambitious growth plans, and Orderwise Cloud is the ideal ERP solution to support our expansion."

Forterro acquired Orderwise in 2022, further demonstrating its commitment to expanding its cloud ERP solutions. With its extensive experience and accumulated knowledge in providing software solutions, Forterro intends to support companies in various sectors in achieving their strategic objectives through flexible, scalable, and secure cloud-based services.
