Italian system integrator Eurosystem SpA has selected Cubbit's geo-distributed cloud storage to increase its storage services revenue and enhance data resilience.

Eurosystem SpA, an IT company with over 40 years of experience, has reported a 580% increase in storage services revenue after integrating Cubbit's DS3 cloud storage solution. The firm aims to manage one Petabyte of customer data by the end of 2025. This strategic integration allows the company to offer S3 cloud object storage that complies with GDPR, enhances data sovereignty, and delivers economic resilience, establishing new revenue streams.

Operating in the northern regions of Italy, Eurosystem supports over 800 business customers by implementing customised solutions and providing training and support. The company caters to industries requiring advanced security and efficient data storage, including manufacturing, sports, telecommunications, and media.

Eurosystem recognised the increasing sophistication of cyber-threats such as ransomware and sought a reliable storage solution to protect customer data. Veeam compatibility was crucial due to the widespread use of this backup client among its customers.

Various S3 cloud and on-premise storage solutions were considered by Eurosystem over time. While cloud solutions offered ease of use, they lacked the security, compliance, and predictable cost structure needed. On-premise solutions, although meeting sovereignty requirements, presented challenges like high initial expenses and complex scalability.

Adopting Cubbit's technology enabled Eurosystem to benefit from both cloud services and on-premise solutions, overcoming their inherent challenges. Cubbit DS3 offers fixed storage costs with essential S3 APIs and geo-distribution capabilities while ensuring high data durability. This technology also facilitates data protection through geo-distribution and encryption, appealing to both client-side and server-side security needs.

Cubbit's GDPR compliance and geo-fencing capabilities enable Eurosystem to adhere to regional regulations, allowing the company to create new revenue streams and enhance customer loyalty. The deployment of Cubbit's solutions enables automatic management of storage capacity without the need for upfront investment or additional IT personnel.

Nicola Bosello, Board Member and Sales Director of Eurosystem, shared, "We searched for a long time for an immutable, off-site S3 storage solution that didn't come with an expensive and complex infrastructure setup, and was compliant with key requirements like GDPR. We have been offering Cubbit to our customers for a year now, receiving positive feedback for Cubbit's DS3 data localisation regulations and compliance capabilities within Europe, as well as its flexibility, speed of deployment, the ease of scaling storage space in a few hours, and the attractive pricing without hidden costs. Thanks to Cubbit, we've already won new customers and increased loyalty by significantly increasing the degree of cyber-resilience in our portfolio."

Alessandro Cillario, Co-CEO and Co-founder of Cubbit, stated, "Enterprises worldwide are grappling with the daunting challenge of managing the explosive growth of unstructured data. They need a solution that allows them to seamlessly implement a custom IT infrastructure strategy, while maintaining full control over their data. European organisations, in particular, are facing a host of challenges, from cyber-threats and data sovereignty issues to unpredictable costs. Eurosystem, with Cubbit as a true obstacle remover, can now offer their customers a level of cyber-resilience, sovereignty, and cost-efficiency that was never possible before. We're excited to have such a strong partner to help promote our solutions."
