Dignity launches AI & Data Academy to streamline daily operations

Mon, 24th Nov 2025

Dignity has launched an AI and Data Academy for 55 employees, aiming to increase data visibility across its 570-plus branches and improve operational efficiency through artificial intelligence. The programme seeks to address longstanding manual processes in the company, including the processing of more than 100,000 paper cheques annually and manual forecasting at the branch level.

Operational changes

The end-of-life care provider has been contending with a range of administrative processes primarily reliant on manual effort, such as managing leases and tracking sites using spreadsheets. With the academy, Dignity intends to equip staff with skills in data and AI to prevent future inefficiencies. This transition is expected to support employees in adopting new digital tools and methods to streamline everyday work.

Training partnership

The training programmes are delivered in partnership with Multiverse, an upskilling platform for AI and technology adoption. The Academy features several levels of training, targeting both technical and non-technical staff. Multiverse's Level 5 AI and Strategy Leadership programme is designed for non-technical leaders, providing them with necessary skills to manage and implement AI within their roles. The Level 4 AI for Business Value curriculum builds AI literacy across teams, enabling them to move away from manual processes, while the Level 3 AI Powered Productivity course focuses on the practical integration of generative AI into daily tasks, including the use of tools such as Microsoft CoPilot and Gemini.

Skills adoption

Dignity's approach aims to deliver a workforce prepared to use AI responsibly while improving operational efficiency. Reducing reliance on paper and manual data handling is expected to cut down repetitive tasks and provide more consistent data access company-wide. The company's strategy is to not only enhance individual staff growth but also position itself for better efficiency in its service delivery.

Leadership views

"At Dignity, we recognise that investing in our people is key to driving meaningful transformation. By equipping our teams with advanced AI skills through these programmes with Multiverse, we are empowering them to embrace innovation, streamline processes and lead with confidence in an AI-driven world. This initiative enhances individual growth while also positioning Dignity to deliver greater efficiency and impact for the communities we serve."

said Zillah Byng-Thorne, CEO, Dignity.

Partner perspective

"By providing employees with practical skills to harness the power of AI and data, Dignity is building greater visibility and consistency across its branches while readying its workforce to tackle complex challenges, enhance decision-making and deliver greater value," said Gary Eimerman, Chief Learning Officer, Multiverse.
