Craig McLaughlin joins Lánluas to lead government sector growth

Yesterday

Craig McLaughlin has been appointed as Government Practise Lead at Lánluas, taking responsibility for developing and delivering solutions for government clients across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

In this newly created position, he is tasked with strengthening Lánluas' engagement with public sector organisations at various government levels, and ensuring services are specifically aligned to their needs.

McLaughlin joins Lánluas after his most recent role as Head of Strategy and Solution Design at ReadyTech, where he directed the company's government product offering. In this capacity, he managed the delivery of over 140 customer development and deployment projects each month, focusing on aligning the company's software with the requirements of public sector clients.

Earlier in his career, McLaughlin founded BluePoint, a software company dedicated to helping organisations extract greater value from their enterprise systems, supporting information management and team collaboration.

Leadership perspective

Richard McManus, Chief Executive Officer of Lánluas, welcomed the appointment. He noted the importance of the Government Practise Lead in supporting Lánluas' growing reach in both local and international markets.

"We're delighted to establish the Government Practise Lead role to support our expanding presence in local and international markets," said Richard. "As a former Council CIO myself, I understand how critical it is that ERP systems consultancies have real insight into the unique challenges facing governments. Craig's depth of experience and strategic outlook make him an exceptional asset to our clients in the federal, state, and local government sectors throughout Australia and New Zealand and, increasingly, in the UK and Ireland."

McLaughlin has nearly 30 years of experience in technology for government and enterprise systems. He is expected to help Lánluas further its expertise in the public sector, enhancing both the delivery and uptake of its consulting services among TechnologyOne customers.

Driving value in government

On his new role, McLaughlin commented on some of the key challenges faced by governments, including the pressure to do more with limited resources and to ensure the effectiveness of technology investments.

"Governments today face the dual challenge of delivering more with fewer resources, while ensuring every system investment delivers real value to their communities. I'm excited to help Lánluas clients make the most of their TechnologyOne platforms, improving service delivery, optimising internal processes, and driving strategic outcomes through smart technology use."

He detailed his approach to the Government Practise Lead role, emphasising support for clients dealing with regulatory and operational obstacles.

"My vision in this role is to ensure our government clients feel understood, supported, and empowered. Whether it's navigating rate capping, managing legacy systems, or enabling better decision-making through process automation and data, we want to be the partner that helps them turn complex challenges into practical, lasting solutions."

The appointment underlines Lánluas' stated commitment to providing independent solutions and expert advice for the TechnologyOne ecosystem in the government sector, both in Australia and internationally.
