Cloudera named among Ireland's best workplaces for women

Fri, 7th Mar 2025

Cloudera has been recognised by Great Place to Work as one of Ireland's Best Workplaces for Women 2025.

Great Place to Work Ireland's Best Workplaces for Women programme is now in its seventh year and aims to distinguish organisations that create supportive environments specifically for women in the workplace. This year, 35 organisations from various sectors have been recognised, collectively representing over 2,000 female leaders.

This recognition is based on the global standard Best Workplaces methodology, assessing companies on their fairness in pay, recognition, training, and promotion opportunities for women. The award also recognises employers that provide the necessary support for employees managing family commitments, such as childcare, and that foster an empowering work environment. Only organisations that have previously been certified as a Great Place to Work were eligible for consideration.

In 2025, Great Place To Work will continue its collaboration with The Menopause Hub. In 2023, they established the Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards to honour employers supporting menopausal and perimenopausal women at work. Fania Stoney, Business Development Strategist at Great Place To Work, stated: "We are excited to strengthen this partnership in 2025 and work toward a shared vision where every woman navigating menopause in the workplace feels valued, supported, and understood by her employer."

Jamie Griffin, Vice President Global Commercial Operations at Cloudera, commented on the company's recognition: "Being recognised as a great place for women to work for the fourth year running is a true testament to the 52% of our female colleagues, who shape our business. Companies must go beyond words to drive real change. Some shifts are smaller, like using inclusive language in job descriptions, while others, such as increasing C-level representation for women and encouraging young girls to pursue careers in tech, require a full commitment from entire organisations and industries. I'm proud to say that at Cloudera, we don't just talk the talk. We take action."

Cathal Divilly, CEO of Great Place To Work Ireland, praised the organisations on the list, saying, "Creating an inclusive environment where women are valued, supported, and empowered at every stage of their journey is more critical than ever. I want to commend these outstanding organisations being celebrated as the Best Workplaces for Women 2025. They are setting the standard by consistently fostering a culture that enables women to thrive and bring their full potential to the workplace."

Cloudera has previously received accolades in the Great Place to Work ranking, including being identified as the No. 1 Best Medium Sized Workplace in Ireland for 2025, and being listed in the Best Workplaces in Ireland for several consecutive years. Cloudera was also noted among the Best Workplaces in Technology and the Best Workplaces for Health & Wellbeing.
