Civo cuts GPU prices by up to 56% to boost AI access

Today

Civo has announced a significant reduction in its GPU prices, ranging from 16.3% to 56%. This will ensure more affordable access to cloud technology for smaller companies working in AI and machine learning.

In the context of increasing demand for AI and skyrocketing GPU prices, Civo has adjusted its NVIDIA GPU prices, now offering Kubernetes-enabled GPUs at a starting rate of USD $0.79 per GPU/hour. The company aims to make AI and machine learning more accessible to businesses, regardless of size and financial strength.

Josh Mesout, Chief Innovation Officer at Civo, explained, "Reducing our GPU fees is about leveling the playing field for businesses. By offering the most affordable GPU pricing, we're empowering businesses of all sizes to tap into the immense potential of AI without being held back by high infrastructure costs. We believe that access to cutting-edge technology should not be a barrier to innovation, and that every company should have the opportunity to leverage advanced and secure cloud computing technology."

The new pricing structure includes flexible terms with the option for 6, 12, 24, and 36-month commitments. Civo aims to offer simplicity and transparency, avoiding hidden charges such as egress fees, which are often cited as obstacles within the cloud services industry.

Mesout added, "Egress fees are just one way the cloud computing industry creates unnecessary barriers for businesses, locking them into a single provider and making it costly to switch. At Civo, our mission is to make cloud computing transparent, fair, and flexible. We've developed a market-leading technology offering that empowers customers to move their data freely and securely, without hidden charges or restrictive fees. Our focus is on providing a seamless, customer-centric cloud experience that gives businesses the tools they need to innovate and grow without cost barriers."

The recent launch of Civo's relaxAI, an open-source sovereign AI assistant, underscores the company's investment in innovation and commitment to transparent, secure AI solutions. Civo's comprehensive AI stack for businesses includes extensive integrations with computing, storage, and Kubeflow, among other services, and it costs fairly compared to many competitors.

For UK-based customers, Civo's UK Sovereign Cloud compute capability ensures compliance with local data protection regulations, allowing organisations to maintain firm control over data storage and processing. This feature is increasingly important for entities managing sensitive data that require strict adherence to privacy laws.

James Faure, CEO at Clairo.ai, a Civo customer, praised the initiative, saying, "In an industry where soaring prices seem to be the default, Civo's commitment to fair and transparent pricing is a breath of fresh air. By lowering the cost of this advanced and in-demand technology, they're removing one of the biggest barriers businesses face. This lets companies like ours focus on innovation without being held back by high infrastructure costs."

Further endorsements come from businesses appreciating the absence of hidden costs. Faure remarked, "Unlike other industry players, Civo doesn't bury hidden charges or surprise you with complex egress fees – their pricing is straightforward, and that makes all the difference for businesses trying to scale efficiently."

Additionally, Civo's infrastructure is powered entirely by 100% carbon-neutral energy, underscoring its commitment to sustainability. This environmentally conscious approach allows businesses to make greener choices without forfeiting performance, aligning with Civo's goal of responsible cloud computing.
