CaseCraft.AI raises GBP £550,000 for UK small claims platform

Today

CaseCraft.AI has secured GBP £550,000 in funding, valuing the company at a pre-money level of GBP £3,000,000.

The recent funding round was led by Moun Fund with a contribution of GBP £300,000, joined by additional investors, supporting the development and expansion of CaseCraft.AI's legal technology platform in the UK.

CaseCraft.AI has developed a proprietary platform designed to assist both individuals and businesses across the UK in filing and defending small claims. The system is designed to streamline the litigation process, with a particular focus on early dispute resolution, enabling users to reach settlements before taking court action.

The UK's Small Claims Track provides a simplified court process for civil disputes valued at GBP £10,000 or less—or GBP £1,000 or less in cases of personal injury or housing disrepair. Common claims addressed by this track include issues such as unpaid invoices, faulty goods, or disputes over tenancy deposits.

With the new funding, CaseCraft.AI plans to further develop, test, and refine its Small Claims platform. The company also intends to scale up its marketing activities to increase its reach within the UK market.

The funding will also enable CaseCraft.AI to expand its team, with a focus on recruiting experts in product development and engineering who are passionate about delivering consumer-facing artificial intelligence solutions. This expansion is expected to enhance the company's ability to leverage AI advancements.

A multidisciplinary founding team established CaseCraft.AI: Michael Iatsukha and Ruslan Kosarenko, both qualified lawyers; Dmitry Bagrov, an expert in software development; and Alexander Mints, a finance and investment specialist. This blend of expertise covers technology, law and business operations.

Michael Iatsukha, Co-founder of CaseCraft.AI, said:

"We are at a pivotal moment in the application of technology to professional services and consumer solutions. This is just the beginning of the value AI can unlock, helping users achieve more with fewer resources."

Laert Karaashev, Head of VC at Moun Fund, offered a statement on the investment and its intended impact on users:

"We are proud to support CaseCraft.AI in its journey to bring innovation to the UK's small claims process. By making the system more accessible and efficient through cutting-edge AI, the platform has the potential to become a true champion for consumers. We look forward to supporting its continued growth."

The legal technology sector in the UK has seen an increase in venture activity as digital solutions are adopted to enhance public access to justice and improve operational efficiency in legal processes. Platforms such as CaseCraft.AI are positioning themselves to meet the needs of users seeking alternatives to traditional litigation, especially within the small claims segment.

CaseCraft.AI's platform is structured to support users throughout the entire process, from evaluating a potential claim to drafting necessary documentation, attempting pre-court negotiations, and ultimately guiding them through court procedures if required. By placing an emphasis on settling disputes early, the platform seeks to reduce the costs and time generally associated with small claims.

The company will utilise the newly raised funds to enhance its product offering, as well as to amplify its presence within the UK's legal and consumer markets. Additional resources will be allocated to research and product improvements, ensuring that the platform continues to evolve in line with advances in artificial intelligence technology and shifting user requirements.

The investment round signals continuing investor confidence in legal tech's capacity to modernise elements of the UK's civil justice infrastructure by leveraging new technologies to deliver streamlined and accessible legal services.
