Advanced appoints Anwen Robinson as SVP of Accelerator to Drive Growth in SaaS Solutions
Advanced, a premier software and services firm, confirmed Anwen Robinson's appointment as the Senior Vice President (SVP) of its novel Accelerator. This strategic move comes as part of the company's ambitious plans to amplify the growth of its Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions into sectors with significant future potential.
The Accelerator was established as part of Advanced's transformation strategy to scale the business in the upcoming three years. Advanced is refocusing its operations around the consumer, supercharging its SaaS solutions delivered via its Platform as a Service (PaaS), and refining its Go To Market approach around particular vertical sectors.
Robinson's expertise spans over three decades in actualising customer-first strategies for tech firms via the deployment of innovative technology solutions. During her illustrious career, she has engendered a strong track record in driving value for customers and transforming big software names. Robinson formerly served as the General Manager (GM) and Senior Vice President (SVP) at Infor, where she headed the company's UK and Ireland operations and acted as a Global Executive Sponsor for the People Wellbeing Business Resource Group. Her previous roles also include important positions in leading tech organisations such as TechnologyOne and Unit4 Business Software.
A Cardiff University mechanical engineering honours graduate, Robinson initiated her technological career with a deep interest in STEM subjects. She is a tireless advocate for addressing the UK's STEM skills shortage, particularly among women. Moreover, Robinson has dedicated twelve years to the Prince's Trust Technology Leadership Group Committee, supporting disadvantaged youth to find employment in technology-based roles.
Advanced's CEO, Simon Walsh, speaking on Robinson's appointment, says: "We are delighted with the energy, experience and passion for customer transformation that Anwen brings to Advanced. We have undergone major organisational change and a strategic review in recent months. Anwen's top priorities will be to help develop strategies that will continue to drive and grow our business and the business of our customers."
On accepting her new responsibilities, Anwen expresses, "I'm thrilled to be joining Advanced at such an important time for the company's own transformation. I am excited about helping Advanced refine and refresh its market offering and in revising operational plans to improve quality and resilience on behalf of our customers."
