AccountsIQ acquires ExpenseIn to expand cloud solutions

Today

AccountsIQ has announced the acquisition of ExpenseIn, an expense management software provider, to enhance its offering of cloud-based accounting solutions.

ExpenseIn, established in 2015, will continue operating under its own name as part of the AccountsIQ Group. The company assists over a million expense processes every month for a customer base that spreads across more than 40 countries, including notable clients such as Ascot, Corpay, and Bath Rugby.

The acquisition underscores AccountsIQ's strategy to evolve from focusing solely on finance teams to also servicing broader business user functions. This strategic development will introduce features like spend card management and embedded payments, targeting the office of the Chief Financial Officer.

Since receiving an investment from Axiom in June 2024, AccountsIQ has been actively advancing its service offerings. This includes unveiling new product features and reinforcing its leadership team with high-profile appointments.

With ExpenseIn's integration, the combined user base now exceeds 350,000, delivering a more inclusive solution for current finance demands. AccountsIQ plans to expand its workforce and continue its commitment to product development.

Darren Cran, the Chief Executive Officer of AccountsIQ, stated: "Both AccountsIQ and ExpenseIn have a shared vision for innovation and growth, and we've had an increasing number of joint customers in recent years. This acquisition bolsters our position as a leading finance management solution for ambitious finance teams in the mid-market, with our combined knowledge and experience allowing us to really understand what our customers need and deliver the technology to match."

Richard Jones, Managing Director of ExpenseIn, remarked: "There's a natural synergy between our companies, as both AccountsIQ and ExpenseIn are passionate about delivering great products and experiences for our customers. We share a joint commitment to provide the office of the CFO with market-leading software and understand the changing requirements of fast-paced modern finance teams and the challenges they face. I look forward to working closely with Darren and the AccountsIQ team as we continue to innovate and scale."

The integration will not affect ExpenseIn's existing operations, with the company continuing to trade under its current name without disruptions for customers or partners.
