Your.Cloud acquires Comm-Tech to boost UK telecom growth strategy

Your.Cloud has completed the acquisition of Comm-Tech Voice & Data, a telecom and IT service provider based in Norwich, marking its first UK-based acquisition in the telecom segment.

The transaction sees Comm-Tech, supported by a team of more than 30 professionals, joining a group of companies under Your.Cloud's umbrella, all focused on delivering managed services while keeping their local identities. Comm-Tech, established in 1986 and led for the past 25 years by Managing Director Justin Millar, will retain its existing leadership and brand.

Business direction

Comm-Tech has developed a reputation in the East of England for its customer-focused telecoms and IT solutions. The company's integration into Your.Cloud is part of a wider growth strategy for the group within the region, specifically targeting the Telecom, IT, and Cloud Technology Services (TICTS) sector. This sector includes managed service providers that deliver a combination of telecom and IT solutions.

Justin Millar will continue to serve as Managing Director, with the business expected to maintain its operations independently. The announcement clarifies that Comm-Tech will not undergo significant changes in day-to-day management or branding as a result of the acquisition.

He emphasised that Comm-Tech will continue to service its established client base and reinforce its customer relationships.

UK market focus

Your.Cloud operates with a decentralised model, emphasising support for its acquired businesses to grow locally, according to Vermeulen. The acquisition of Comm-Tech is noted as Your.Cloud's second in the UK market, and the first in the telecoms category, as the group executes its expansion plans in this sector throughout the country.

Operational integration

Comm-Tech joins a network of over 25 companies within the Your.Cloud portfolio, which employs about 1,500 staff across Europe and reports an annual turnover of EUR €350+ million. Businesses in the group collectively serve more than 8,000 companies in various countries through managed productivity, security, infrastructure, and connectivity services. Your.Cloud is part of the broader Your.World portfolio, which is owned by Strikwerda Investments.

Both companies have reiterated a commitment to maintaining established client relationships and delivering services locally, supported by shared knowledge and group-level resources.
