Westcon-Comstor integrates AWS into 3D Lab for partners
Westcon-Comstor has introduced AWS integrations into its 3D Lab, enabling partners to test multi-vendor cybersecurity solutions within an AWS environment.
The 3D Lab was set up in 2022 to help partners in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) evaluate security solutions based on specific use cases before making purchase decisions. With the integration of AWS services, partners can now experience solutions from Check Point Software, CrowdStrike, Infoblox, Palo Alto Networks, and Zscaler in a secure and adaptable AWS setting.
This development allows partners and their clients to realise the added benefits integrated multi-vendor solutions can deliver when implemented on AWS infrastructure.
According to Westcon-Comstor, the creation of the 3D Lab responded to shifts in end-user purchasing behaviours. Since its launch, the Lab has facilitated USD $200 million in new business for partners in the EMEA region. Around 4,000 participants explored 26 use cases in 45 custom lab settings.
The AWS integration represents a key advancement in Westcon-Comstor's collaborative efforts with AWS. Earlier, the company unveiled its AWS Marketplace programme, which offers partners new growth opportunities through a more efficient transaction process on the platform, aided by advisory and support services.
Further bolstering their collaboration, Westcon-Comstor was appointed as an authorised AWS distributor for Europe last November, complementing an existing distribution agreement in the Asia-Pacific region.
The integration with AWS in the 3D Lab allows for a comprehensive journey. A partner can validate a security solution within an AWS environment, purchase it from Westcon-Comstor via a private AWS Marketplace listing or conventional methods, and sell it to an end-user.
Daniel Hurel, Senior Vice President of Westcon EMEA Cybersecurity and Next-Generation Solutions at Westcon-Comstor, said, "3D Lab is all about enabling partners to try solutions, enhance their knowledge and become trusted advisors to their customers – ultimately shortening sales cycles by moving from demo to decision, fast."
"Bringing AWS services into the mix through these exciting new integrations is the perfect next step in the evolution of 3D Lab, creating exciting new possibilities for security-focused partners while allowing us to leverage our expertise in cloud and AWS."
The integration of AWS services into Westcon-Comstor's 3D Lab marks a significant enhancement in their support for partners, enabling them to assess and implement multi-vendor cybersecurity solutions within a scalable AWS environment. This development reflects Westcon-Comstor's commitment to evolving its offerings to meet changing market demands and further strengthen its position as a facilitator of advanced security solutions in the EMEA region.
