Vultr & FluidCloud partner to boost instant multicloud migration
Vultr has partnered with FluidCloud to provide enterprises worldwide with instant cloud migration and multicloud portability.
This collaboration enables organisations to leverage FluidCloud's Cloud Cloning technology on Vultr's infrastructure, allowing the migration of workloads from any cloud provider to Vultr in minutes and distributing those workloads across multiple clouds.
Cloud migration challenges
Organisations are facing significant challenges as they seek to modernise infrastructure efficiently and cost-effectively in a dynamic cloud environment. The complexity of migrating critical workloads - especially without significant downtime or the need for complex redesign - remains a major hurdle.
The integration of FluidCloud's Cloud Cloning with Vultr's infrastructure is aimed at removing these barriers. According to both companies, the solution allows for fast, uninterrupted migration and supports a multicloud approach, making it possible for businesses to operate workloads across diverse cloud environments.
Executive perspectives
"Our partnership with Vultr is rooted in a joint mission to free enterprises from cloud lock-in and simplify multicloud operations," said Sharad Kumar, co-founder and CEO of FluidCloud. "From DevOps teams managing cloud drift to CIOs aiming to control rising costs, our partnership delivers a streamlined, efficient way to migrate and replicate infrastructure quickly while maintaining performance and governance across clouds, regions, and cloud accounts. We are redefining what's possible in multicloud innovation and operational excellence."
Kumar's comments reflect the current industry needs for agility and cost controls. The combined solution aims to address these requirements by providing infrastructure portability and accelerating digital transformation for AI-driven and traditional enterprises alike.
Kevin Cochrane, CMO of Vultr, also addressed the benefits for businesses seeking predictable costs and operational control.
"Our partnership with FluidCloud offers enterprises a smarter, faster path to cloud modernisation," said Kevin Cochrane, CMO of Vultr. Cloud Cloning features
FluidCloud's Cloud Cloning technology is designed to be portable, enabling enterprises to transform their infrastructure assets and manage them across clouds without the need for lengthy rearchitecting efforts. The technology enables the migration, replication, and restoration of infrastructure within minutes. This allows IT teams to test, clone, and recover workloads across different environments, while also connecting with Vultr's developer tools and ecosystem.
Among the main benefits highlighted by both companies are:
- Direct migration from AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or any other provider to Vultr's platform
- Automated adaptation of infrastructure, ensuring 24/7 operations without downtime or the need for rearchitecting
- Real-time governance and security with compliance controls, drift detection, and policy management
- Configurable multi-region backups and complete Infrastructure-as-Code portability for operational resilience and flexibility
Industry context and alliances
The adoption of multicloud strategies has grown as organisations look for ways to avoid vendor lock-in and to increase resilience. The ability to distribute workloads across clouds helps to mitigate risks related to downtime and regional service disruptions while supporting compliance and governance needs.
