Version 1 partners with HSE for digital healthcare in Ireland
Version 1 has secured a national contract with The Health Service Executive (HSE) to support the delivery of digitally enabled healthcare services across Ireland.
The contract forms part of HSE's strategic initiative, Digital for Care 2030, which aims to modernise healthcare through the implementation of digital solutions.
This three-year partnership is set to bolster the healthcare system by improving care coordination, communication, and data sharing among healthcare professionals.
Version 1 will work alongside HSE Technology and Transformation, tackling the challenge of equipping healthcare professionals with the necessary digital capabilities and tools to provide optimal care efficiently.
The ultimate goal is to improve decision-making and drive greater productivity across the healthcare sector.
Kevin Kelly, Head of the AI and Automation Centre of Excellence at HSE, commented: "HSE's vision is to create better health outcomes through a digitally enabled environment, so we are on a journey to give our workforce the digital tools, connectivity and enhanced digital skills required to deliver the right care, in the right place, at the right time."
Kelly added, "In Version 1 we have a partner with the expertise to not just deliver technology solutions, but one that has a deep understanding of the challenges we face and the importance of what we are aiming to achieve in the context of Digital for Care 2030."
Ger O'Sullivan, Head of Public Sector, Ireland at Version 1, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "We were hugely inspired by HSE's ambition and vision to push the boundaries and harness technology in a way that so clearly brings considerable ease of access and improvements to its users."
O'Sullivan continued, "We are very excited to partner with them on this transformative journey and watch the impact not just to all service users, but also to the organisation itself as it will undoubtedly reap the benefits of enhanced operational efficiency."
The contract was facilitated through an Office of Government Procurement Framework, indicating a structured approach to securing such partnerships.
