Trend Micro launches Vision One UK platform for data control
Trend Micro has launched a UK-hosted instance of its Vision One platform to support organisations seeking greater data sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.
The new instance of Vision One allows UK customers to process and store security-related data entirely within UK borders. This move is designed to help organisations address regulatory requirements and maintain access to the cybersecurity capabilities offered by Trend Micro.
Marc Schiener, Technical Director at Trend Micro, said, "This strategic development allows customers to process and store their security-related data entirely within UK borders. This addresses growing regulatory expectations while maintaining access to Trend Micro's full cybersecurity portfolio."
The Vision One platform is described as an enterprise-grade solution that provides detection, prevention, and response for threats across endpoints, cloud, email, networks, and digital identities. With local hosting, sensitive security data remains under UK jurisdiction, which supports compliance with frameworks such as the UK GDPR, as well as sector-specific regulations.
Schiener further commented on the importance of data control, stating, "Data sovereignty is more than a compliance requirement, it's a foundation for digital trust. By bringing Trend Micro Vision One to the UK, we're giving customers full control over their data, paired with the most advanced threat detection and risk management capabilities available."
Current Trend Micro Cloud One customers in the UK will have the opportunity to migrate to the Vision One UK instance at no additional cost. The migration includes expanded features such as cyber risk exposure management, integrated threat intelligence, and enhanced automation, all delivered from a single platform utilising artificial intelligence techniques.
Schiener added, "We are working with UK organisations to reduce complexity, strengthen proactive defences, and improve incident response, enabling them to adapt to an evolving threat landscape while maintaining full control over their data and future-proofing their cybersecurity strategies."
The platform is positioned to offer organisations a central point for managing and responding to cyber threats, with features intended to improve visibility and response times across cloud, network, device, and endpoint environments. Vision One's AI-driven capabilities aim to simplify security operations while ensuring compliance and data residency for users based in the UK.
This development comes amid increased scrutiny of data storage practices and a rise in regulatory expectations around data localisation and sovereignty within the UK. Organisations in critical sectors, financial services, and public agencies are particularly attentive to remaining compliant with the UK GDPR and other national security requirements.
