TCS surpasses USD $21.3 billion in global brand value

Yesterday

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reached a significant milestone by becoming the second global IT services brand to surpass a brand valuation of USD $21.3 billion.

This increase in brand value marks an 826% growth since 2010, when the company was valued at USD $2.3 billion. The growth is attributed to TCS's sustained investments in innovation, customer satisfaction, and strategic marketing efforts.

David Haigh, Chairman and CEO of Brand Finance, commented, "At Brand Finance, we have been tracking TCS for about two decades and I am continually impressed by how the company keeps innovating its business and projecting its brand on the global stage. Their consistent efforts have led them to a milestone year where they've become the second company in the industry to ever cross the landmark 20 billion mark in brand value. Congratulations to all the 600K TCSers who proudly carry their brand forward."

TCS is acknowledged as a trusted partner for global corporations, known for delivering advanced technology solutions to tackle complex challenges. Its reputation in innovation is particularly notable in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), where TCS has developed AI-driven solutions that optimise operations and enhance customer experiences while maintaining ethical standards and considering long-term impact.

In 2024, TCS was recognised as the number one IT service provider for customer satisfaction in Europe by Whitelane Research. This accolade reflects the company's customer centricity and execution excellence. TCS also demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability, utilising digital twin technology to reduce carbon emissions and collaborating with Rolls Royce on developing the world's first hydrogen-powered aircraft engine.

Abhinav Kumar, Chief Marketing Officer at TCS, expressed his views on the milestone achievement: "As we kick off a new year in 2025 with the World Economic Forum at Davos, we are delighted to see our brand cross this major landmark and cement its position in the top tier of our industry. We have been a strategic partner to WEF for 15 years and in this period our brand has nearly grown ninefold in value and is known globally for being a leader in innovation, the ability to deliver the most complex technology work in the world, and in creating long term partnerships of value with our clients. My thanks to the hundreds of thousands of TCSers who proudly build and live this great brand every second. We are all in it for the long run."

TCS places significant emphasis on enhancing brand visibility and global reach, evidenced by its sponsorship of major endurance running races globally. The firm sponsors 14 such events, including five of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, thus engaging over 600,000 runners annually. Initiatives like the Future Athlete Project utilise advanced digital twin technology to monitor heart function and improve athlete performance, underscoring TCS's commitment to health, wellness, and community development.

Further showcasing its commitment to sustainable technologies and electric mobility, TCS partners with Jaguar TCS Racing in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the first all-electric racing series. Through various customer summits, industry trade shows, and technology alliances, TCS has collaborated with thousands of customers worldwide, aiding businesses in adapting to today's dynamic environment.

TCS also leads in thought leadership, conducting comprehensive research and producing studies focused on AI and electric vehicle markets. The TCS AI for Business Study evaluates the impact of AI across sectors, while the TCS Future-Ready eMobility Study 2025 identifies trends shaping the future of transportation.
