Smartvisit app to redefine visitor engagement in tourism

Yesterday

Smartvisit, a destination experience platform, will soon unveil the full capabilities of its new app to enhance tourism engagement.

The Smartvisit app is designed to assist destination marketing companies, tourism operators, and attractions by offering immersive and revenue-generating visitor experiences.

Ryan Rieveley, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Smartvisit, highlighted the app's alignment with the expectations of modern travellers. "In an increasingly digital world, travellers expect instant access to information, personalised experiences, and on-the-go engagement," he said.

"The app addresses these expectations by consolidating everything a traveller needs into a single, intuitive interface. From real-time geolocation notifications and self-guided multimedia tours to instant ticket purchases and exclusive destination packages, our app redefines how visitors interact with destinations."

Rieveley believes the platform will significantly impact tourism. "Smartvisit is redefining destination engagement by giving tourism operators the tools they need to create deeper, more meaningful connections with visitors," he stated. "The industry has long struggled with capturing in-destination engagement, and we're solving that problem. Our app doesn't just improve visitor experiences - it drives longer stays, increases spending, and delivers invaluable consumer insights for operators."

The app's proof of concept was developed in collaboration with dnata Travel Group in Dubai. Rachel Nettle, Director of Sales and Distribution for Tours and Attractions at dnata, acknowledged the role of digital transformation in addressing evolving visitor expectations.

"Travellers today demand seamless, personalised, and immersive experiences, and solutions like Smartvisit are meeting this demand head-on," said Nettle. "This kind of innovation is exactly what the industry needs to stay ahead in an increasingly competitive market."

The suite of features offered by Smartvisit includes Jrnyz self-guided multimedia tours, geolocation notifications, customisable destination packages, an all-in-one digital wallet, and 24/7 customer support. These features aim to enhance visitor satisfaction, engagement, and revenue for tourism businesses.

The unveiling of the Smartvisit app will take place in Las Vegas, where tourism professionals will have the opportunity to gain firsthand experience of its capabilities. Richard Peterson, Vice President of Smartvisit (Americas), alongside Laura Rieveley, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Smartvisit, will demonstrate how destinations like Dubai, Athens, and Barcelona are utilising Smartvisit to increase visitor engagement and profitability.

Attendees at the event, including tourism professionals, destination marketing companies, and operators, will be able to explore how Smartvisit could potentially revolutionise their approach to engaging with visitors.
