Rapid7 expands MXDR service to support Microsoft tools

Today

Rapid7 has announced the expansion of its Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) service to include coverage for Microsoft's Security Telemetry.

The enhanced MXDR service now offers continuous threat detection, investigation, and response across key Microsoft security tools. This service is designed to integrate an organisation's existing Microsoft telemetry with Rapid7's Command Platform, enabling more comprehensive and prompt threat detection and remediation by Rapid7's security operations centre (SOC). This integration does not require additional infrastructure or complicated integration processes.

Microsoft tools hold a substantial position within many organisations' technology stacks, accounting for over 25% of the endpoint security market, according to IDC data. With the expanded MXDR service, Rapid7 addresses the need for a fully integrated SOC service that encompasses Microsoft security tools alongside visibility over endpoints, cloud service providers, identity and access management, and network security solutions.

Craig Adams, Chief Product Officer at Rapid7, remarked, "With Rapid7 MXDR support for Microsoft, organisations of every size can now harness the best of both worlds: the familiarity and depth of their Microsoft environment and the advanced detection, correlation, automation, and forensic response capabilities of Rapid7's MXDR service."

He further added, "This helps security teams achieve 24x7 comprehensive Microsoft coverage throughout their tool stack - a key piece in empowering them to manage, prioritise, and respond to risk across their entire attack surface."

Rapid7 MXDR ensures comprehensive threat visibility by integrating data from both Rapid7 native sources and existing Microsoft telemetry. This capability eliminates blind spots and facilitates rapid response across a digital ecosystem. The service also accelerates response times; through Rapid7's SOC, threats can be tackled swiftly within the Microsoft environment, thereby reducing detection and remediation times and mitigating potential operational, financial, or reputational impacts.

In addition, MXDR's support for Microsoft permits organisations to customise their protection strategies. It enables seamless layering of Rapid7's advanced detection capabilities on top of Microsoft's telemetry, crafting a flexible security solution tailored to individual organisational needs.

Rapid7's expanded MXDR service now includes Microsoft Security Telemetry, enabling improved threat detection and response across Microsoft tools. This integration enhances visibility and accelerates remediation, offering a streamlined and efficient security solution.
