Pegasystems expands Pega GenAI with AWS & Google Cloud models

Pegasystems has announced an expansion of its Pega GenAI capabilities to integrate with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud's Large Language Models (LLMs). This announcement was made during the company’s annual conference, PegaWorld iNspire, held recently in Las Vegas. The new capabilities are anticipated to become available in the second half of 2024.

With this strategic expansion, Pega aims to enable its clients to harness the power of generative AI technologies from AWS and Google Cloud within their decision-making processes and workflow automation on the Pega Platform. This move is set to provide enterprises with a broader range of generative AI services through the Pega GenAI architecture, enhancing their ability to support diverse generative AI models within their business operations.

The expanded capabilities will encompass solutions such as AWS's Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service offering a selection of high-performing foundation models via a single API, and Amazon Titan. From Google Cloud, Pega will provide integrations with Vertex AI and Google Gemini, as well as Claude from Anthropic. These offerings are designed to deliver organizations the tools required to develop AI applications with a focus on security, privacy, and responsible AI usage.

Enterprises that leverage Pega's platform for their AI-driven development, customer engagement, service, and comprehensive office operations will benefit from unified governance, auditability, and control across all applications of generative AI. Pega GenAI is accessible to all Pega clients through Pega Cloud, ensuring broad availability and integration ease.

In addition, AWS and Google Cloud's generative AI models will be seamlessly integrated into Pega Connect GenAI—a plug-and-play architecture enabling low-code developers to craft prompts and derive immediate value from generative AI across various workflows or decision-making processes. This integration allows developers to build bespoke generative AI functionalities that enhance the workplace productivity of employees and agents. For instance, Pega GenAI can be utilised to create components that summarise documents in real-time, providing users with crucial information at a glance when they engage with their tasks.

AWS and Google Cloud were also active presenters at PegaWorld iNspire. AWS discussed the responsible deployment of generative AI in collaboration with Pega, while Google Cloud highlighted its partnership with Pega in driving innovation through generative AI. Both companies showcased their solutions and partnerships in dedicated sessions and exhibitions at the conference.
