Lifecycle Software unveils new AI features for NEXUS MVNE platform

Thu, 30th May 2024

Lifecycle Software, a global provider of Business Support Systems (BSS) and real-time charging solutions, has announced new AI features and Open APIs for its NEXUS MVNE Platform. The announcement will be detailed during the TM Forum's DTW24 Ignite global summit, which will be held in Copenhagen in mid-June.

NEXUS MVNE, launched in February 2024, has been instrumental in facilitating the rapid launch and efficient operation of neo-telcos and Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs). The platform is already serving thousands of users across the United Kingdom, reflecting its growing momentum within the industry.

The new features introduced by Lifecycle Software aim to enhance the capabilities of NEXUS MVNE further. Notable among these is the Next Best Offer, powered by Artificial Intelligence. This feature enables MVNOs to engage customers contextually, factoring in variables such as demographics, special occasions, customer tenure, time of year, churn probability, and other specific customer profile data. The goal is to provide hyper-personalised and tailored experiences that boost customer engagement and conversion rates.

Another key feature is AI-powered CRM insights, which embed AI copilots within the CRM platform. These copilots streamline data retrieval, uncover customer trends, and assist service agents by automatically displaying relevant information and assigning customer value scores. This provides deeper insights into customer behaviours and preferences, allowing for more effective customer service.

The rollout of Open APIs is also a significant step forward, covering over 40 Open Digital Architecture (ODA) components. Lifecycle Software has already received certifications for Open APIs, including TMF620 (Product Catalogue) and TMF622 (Product Order Management), and is currently progressing towards certifications for TMF641 and TMF652. These certifications underline the company's commitment to adhering to TM Forum's Open API standards, enhancing product capabilities, and aligning development processes with global best practices that promote interoperability and efficiency. The TMF Open APIs operate on Microsoft Azure, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

Kelvin Chaffer, CEO of Lifecycle Software, noted the company's dedication to driving innovation in the telecom industry. "NEXUS evolution reflects our ambition to crush the complexity and allow anyone to be an MVNO. We incorporate AI in the roadmap in a way that adds value, drives operational efficiencies, and enhances experience. Features like the Next Best Offer, integrated into our Unified Product Catalogue, and AI Insights implemented in our CRM, exemplify how AI streamlines processes and improves the customer experience," he explained.

Lifecycle Software is showcasing NEXUS and other solutions at DTW24 Ignite in Copenhagen, illustrating its ongoing commitment to innovation and operational excellence. Andy Tiller, EVP of Member Products & Services at TM Forum, praised the company's efforts: "It's extremely pleasing to see Lifecycle Software continuously drive innovation and operational excellence through the application of TM Forum's Open API standards. Its commitment to attaining Open API certifications exemplifies the power of industry collaboration to drive future growth, shorten time to value, and accelerate the deployment of new services and products, especially in the field of AI."

NEXUS MVNE offers the necessary network integrations and a suite of built-in applications and automated workflows to enable neo telcos and MVNOs to enter the market quickly and cost-effectively. The key differentiators include rapid time to market, off-the-shelf front ends, multi-tenancy, and AI capabilities. These features comply with regulatory data privacy requirements since they rely on Azure OpenAI, which does not interact with any services operated by OpenAI. Leading operators utilise NEXUS to monetise network capacity and expand their telecom wholesale reach, launching their own MVNOs to diversify offerings, obtain new revenue streams, and enhance retention strategies.
