Hornetsecurity to acquire French firm Altospam for expansion

Hornetsecurity has announced its intention to acquire French email cybersecurity firm Altospam.

The acquisition remains subject to approval from the French Ministry for the Economy under the country's Foreign Direct Investment regulations. Hornetsecurity views the acquisition as a strategic move to enhance its European-built cybersecurity offerings and further grow its presence in France. This follows the company's previous acquisition of Vade Secure in France.

Hornetsecurity, based in Hannover, Germany, is noted for its single platform approach, offering a range of services for Microsoft 365, including cybersecurity and compliance solutions. Altospam, headquartered in Bordeaux, is recognized for its email cybersecurity expertise.

The acquisition aligns with Hornetsecurity's strategy of expanding its product offerings and international reach. The financial details of the acquisition have not been disclosed. The transaction will further solidify Hornetsecurity's mission to provide comprehensive cloud-based security solutions, reinforcing its commitment to cybersecurity excellence in Europe and beyond.
