Gamma & Clear Business partner to boost UK SME connectivity

Today

Gamma and Clear Business have entered into a strategic partnership to deliver managed connectivity and voice services tailored to small businesses in the UK.

Under the terms of the collaboration, Gamma will supply a fully managed service for connectivity and voice, which will be offered under the Clear Business brand. This approach enables small businesses to access enterprise-grade communication services supported by local expertise, while presenting Gamma with an embedded model to extend its reach into the SME market.

The partnership aims to unite the operational and cultural strengths of both organisations to streamline service delivery. According to both companies, this integration is intended to simplify communications for business owners and create value for channel partners by reducing complexity.

John Murphy, Chief Executive Officer of Gamma Business, said, "This partnership is rooted in a shared belief: small businesses deserve enterprise-quality service that's simple to buy, easy to use, and backed by trusted expertise. We're proud to be working with Clear Business to deliver exactly that. Together, we're helping our channel partners stand out with services that are both powerful and refreshingly easy to manage."

Clear Business serves over 100,000 small and medium-sized enterprises across the UK, offering a suite of essential services that include telecommunications, payment processing, insurance, and utilities. The expanded service offering, resulting from the partnership with Gamma, is expected to bring enhanced speed, resilience, and responsiveness to the communication and connectivity services relied upon by Clear Business customers.

Jon Perkins, Chief Product & Strategy Officer at Clear Business, said, "Simplicity is essential for small business owners. This partnership is about making their lives easier, with better service and more time to focus on running their business. As a one-stop shop for essential services, we're committed to removing complexity and delivering real value. Gamma brings the technical expertise and service heritage that gives us—and our customers—total confidence. With Gamma powering our connectivity and voice services, we're elevating the service experience and setting ourselves apart in a crowded market."

The newly established embedded operating model enables Gamma to expand its service footprint through a trusted partner, while ensuring that delivery remains closely aligned with customer requirements. This approach is described as a repeatable framework for blending nationwide infrastructure with a high standard of local customer service, potentially yielding sustainable value and margin for channel partners.

For Clear Business, the partnership provides additional support in transitioning customers from legacy voice infrastructure to digital services. With the UK preparing for the WLR and PSTN switch-off, the provisioned technology and support from Gamma are expected to enable Clear Business to help its customers navigate the transition without interruption to their ongoing operations or satisfaction.

Beyond the immediate improvements in connectivity and customer support, the collaboration is described by both companies as a long-term arrangement. By combining Clear Business's understanding of SME priorities with Gamma's experience in digital infrastructure, the partnership aims to create ongoing opportunities for growth, benefiting both partners and customers.

The companies view the model as one that provides small businesses and channel partners with essential services that prioritise simplicity, reliability, and adaptability.
