Ciphr unveils new cloud payroll software for UK market

Today

Ciphr has announced the launch of its new cloud-based payroll software, Ciphr payroll, aimed at simplifying payroll processes in the private sector.

The new platform is a revamped version of Shape payroll, which Ciphr acquired last year. It features an improved user interface and dashboards that provide at-a-glance data, enhancing user experience and minimising manual payroll tasks.

This design aims to reduce instances of human error during payroll processing.

Ciphr payroll is fully cloud-based and utilises an API-led approach, incorporating a real-time payroll engine. This ensures synchronisation between an organisation's people data and payroll system, allowing seamless data flow between HR, payroll, and any finance or workforce management systems. The system's real-time capabilities mean payroll processing is no longer time-consuming, with immediate reflection of any changes that may affect pay calculations on employee payslips.

Among the various features, Ciphr payroll offers single-sign-on (SSO) as standard, centralised data security, and no downtime for upgrades or maintenance, with access available anytime, anywhere. It is noted for its swift implementation compared to other systems, with retrospective parallel run testing that typically saves around two months of processing time before going live.

The system includes automation tools for tasks such as calculating backpay, pro-ration, average earnings, holiday pay, and absence calculations. It also auto-generates auto-enrolment letters and more, providing significant time savings.

Julie Lally, Managing Director of Payroll at Ciphr, remarked, "This is a really exciting product launch for Ciphr – and will be music to many payroll professionals' ears. We've listened to what UK payroll professionals want and have focused on solving the challenges they face with their payroll technology."

She continued, "Ciphr payroll is a game-changer for the payroll profession, and we believe it sets a new standard for payroll software in the UK. It can be implemented at pace and integrates with other systems seamlessly through APIs. It delivers a beautiful user experience, maximising efficiency and removing manual processes. Its intuitive navigation and workflows, and robust reporting, are designed by payroll experts, for payroll experts, to boost productivity. So, every button makes sense, every task is streamlined, and every calculation is crunched in true real-time. The time savings are huge, enabling payroll teams to focus less on laborious admin and more on doing what they do best."

Sion Lewis, Chief Executive Officer of Ciphr, added, "We're thrilled to launch our cutting-edge, API-first, Ciphr payroll to market."

"Building out Ciphr's payroll proposition has been a key focus for us over the past year, and an important investment in our product and our customers."

Lewis also stated, "This is the payroll system that the market has been waiting for – and reinforces Ciphr's commitment to offering industry-leading, functionality-rich, people-centric technology for UK businesses. It really sets us apart from many other HCM providers and will have a very positive impact on the payroll professionals who use, and rely on, Ciphr's software and solutions."

Ciphr payroll is currently available for department demos. Ciphr is a prominent HR, payroll, and benefits software provider in the UK, servicing over 1,000 organisations.
