Check Point named leader in Gartner email security 2024

Today

Check Point Software Technologies has been named a leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Email Security Platforms.

Check Point provides email security through its Harmony Email Collaboration offering, which protects email and collaboration apps from advanced threats and integrates with the Check Point Infinity Platform for unified protection.

This integration is crucial for producing a robust security solution in the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats.

The company's recognition as a leader underscores its ability to serve and support email security clients with strong detection capabilities. According to Check Point's 2024 Security Report, 88% of harmful file distributions originate from email, highlighting the critical importance of email security in modern business operations.

This report, combined with a 75% increase in cyber-attacks globally during the third quarter of 2024, signifies the need for enhanced protection measures.

"Over the past three years, Harmony Email & Collaboration has consistently earned top recognition from leading analyst firms. Check Point is honored to be acknowledged by Gartner as a Leader in email security, and we thank our customers and partners for their deep trust in Check Point," said Gil Friedrich, VP of Email Security at Check Point Software. "As one of the fastest-growing email security providers, Check Point is committed to providing an industry-leading email security solution that safeguards all users, no matter where they are or what devices and applications they use."

Check Point's use of API-based, inline protection for cloud-hosted email and collaboration tools brings a range of benefits to their customers. This approach provides in-line scanning and superior protection against business email compromise (BEC) and various attacks, which outperform traditional Secure Email Gateways.

Harmony Email Collaboration integrates advanced threat detection features to enhance endpoint, mobile device, and network security. These features provide thorough insights into attacks, thereby assisting organisations in bolstering their security posture.

The solution's sophisticated Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance (DMARC) capabilities offer comprehensive protection.

Jack Brooks, IT Manager at Bella Vista Property Owners Association, endorsed the solution, saying, "Harmony Email and Collaboration acts as a vigilant digital guardian, ensuring that the tools designed to enhance teamwork don't become conduits for cyber threats or data breaches. Its APIs seamlessly integrate with our collaborative cloud platforms and provide a transparent security layer that doesn't impede productivity. It's particularly adept at thwarting phishing attempts via malicious links in Teams chats or documents shared in SharePoint while enforcing data loss prevention policies across the entire collaboration ecosystem."

Harmony Email Collaboration is part of Check Point's Infinity Platform, which delivers security solutions across various areas, including data centres, networks, cloud services, branch offices, and remote users.

This unified platform approach aims to streamline and enhance security operations under a single interface.
