Brightsolid opens first office in England to drive growth

Wed, 3rd Jul 2024

Brightsolid, a prominent provider of managed hybrid cloud and cyber security services in Scotland, has announced the opening of a new office in Manchester. After over 25 years of operation, this marks Brightsolid’s first expansion into England.

This expansion aims to facilitate strategic growth in Brightsolid’s client base in North England. The city centre office in Manchester is expected to enable the company to achieve a 50% increase in sales and enhance its technical service staff over the next two years.

Brightsolid's offerings include state-of-the-art data centres for secure and scalable IT infrastructure, alongside expertise in hybrid cloud solutions that enhance flexibility and cost-efficiency. The company is also recognised for its Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Security Operations Center (SOC), and Backup as a Service (BaaS) solutions, catering to both public and private sector clients across the UK.

Brightsolid's Chief Commercial Officer, Alan Gardiner, commented on the expansion, "Brightsolid works in collaboration with customers to create unique cloud solutions that are tailored to each organisation. We don't do one-size-fits-all."

Gardiner highlighted the company’s infrastructure and security services: "It starts with our dedicated tier III-designed data centres, ensuring our clients’ critical IT infrastructure is secure while providing industry-leading accessibility, scalability, and connectivity. As one of the UK’s foremost hybrid cloud experts, we also help hundreds of organisations unlock the power, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness of cloud."

With an emphasis on security, Gardiner noted, "And with security at the top of most people’s agendas these days, we deliver some of the UK’s best MDR, SOC and BaaS services at affordable prices."

The new office in Manchester aims to extend Brightsolid’s reach, targeting public and private sector organisations across the North of England. Gardiner added, "While Brightsolid is already recognised as one of Scotland’s leading cloud services providers, the new Manchester office will seek to work with public and private sector organisations across the North of England while also spearheading the expansion of our service offering across the UK."

Brightsolid's existing clientele includes private and public sector organisations such as Aberdeenshire Council, Albert Bartlett, Capita, Dundee City Council, Network ROI, Shell, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, and the University of Dundee.

Brightsolid's expansion into Manchester marks a significant milestone in its growth strategy, extending its footprint beyond Scotland for the first time in its 25-year history. With a strong focus on delivering tailored cloud solutions and top-tier security services, Brightsolid is poised to strengthen its presence in the North of England market.

As the company continues to enhance its technical capabilities and expand its client base, this move underscores Brightsolid's commitment to innovation and excellence in managed hybrid cloud and cybersecurity services across the UK.
