Airwallex partners with Discover to expand payment options

Airwallex has entered into a collaboration with Discover Global Network to expand its payment acceptance options for merchants in several key regions including Australia, Europe, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UK.

This initiative enables Airwallex merchants to accept payments via Discover and Diners Club International Cards, alongside other domestic card schemes. The expansion is intended to provide greater payment flexibility to businesses and enhance customer satisfaction by reducing cart abandonment issues.

Businesses that partner with Airwallex will now have the opportunity to tap into Discover Global Network's extensive base of 345 million cardholders, spanning over 200 countries. According to the company, this can lead to improved transaction capabilities and an enhanced global reach.

Through its comprehensive payment solution, Airwallex now offers over 160 payment methods, aiming to streamline the payment experience for businesses and their customers. This integration allows businesses to process payments with all major schemes, including local payment methods.
