Schneider Electric unveils AI platform for unified building control

Wed, 3rd Dec 2025

Schneider Electric has launched EcoStruxure Foresight Operation, a platform that integrates energy, power, and building systems within a single environment, aiming to address longstanding challenges within facility management and operations.

Unified management

The new platform enables users to monitor and control building and electrical systems from a single interface. Schneider Electric stated that by converging these domains, organisations stand to reduce time spent on engineering workflows by up to 40% and improve overall operational efficiency by up to 50%.

EcoStruxure Foresight Operation uses artificial intelligence to unify and analyse data in real time. This integration eliminates blind spots and allows faster identification and resolution of issues that previously might have gone unnoticed or taken longer to diagnose.

Operational efficiency

The system is built to support and optimise performance across sites of varying scales, including multi-site and global operations. Its open architecture approach is intended to attract organisations seeking future-proofed scalability. According to Schneider Electric, facilities using the platform may experience up to 50% improvements in efficiency and can resolve complex interrelated electrical and mechanical issues 90% faster.

This solution is designed to reduce engineering time and setup for large systems. By using pre-integrated domains and AI-powered engineering, the company claims a potential saving of up to 500 hours during initial deployment.

Sector demands

Facility teams in sectors such as data centres, hospitals, and pharmaceuticals are facing increased pressure from tighter project deadlines, workforce shortages, and intricate compliance requirements. Traditionally, many sites use siloed systems to control heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, and power, making it difficult to coordinate and manage the interdependencies that can impact outcomes and costs.

Energy consumption and waste also remain a critical concern. Reports suggest that buildings may waste up to 40% of the energy they consume, highlighting the urgency for more intelligent and unified operational control systems in the built environment.

AI-powered insights

EcoStruxure Foresight Operation incorporates AI that continuously learns and adapts to site-specific needs. It provides predictive insights, enabling more informed decisions and timely interventions to avoid downtime, equipment damage, and unnecessary energy use. The platform aims to maximise uptime and resilience, backed by built-in redundancy and AI-driven diagnostics.

User perspective

"Like an intelligent operational assistant that never sleeps, EcoStruxure Foresight Operation guides teams to move faster, think smarter and drive impact where it matters most, scaling operational excellence while simplifying systems into a single intuitive interface," said Manish Kumar, EVP Digital Energy, Schneider Electric.

Kumar described how the platform enables different building systems to share data and interoperate more effectively.

"EcoStruxure Foresight Operation unifies energy, power and building domains for supervisory and control, which means systems finally speak the same language, turning complexity into simplicity. As the operation platform for the build environment, it's unlocking the foresight organizations need to thrive in a world that demands more from every watt, every second, every space," said Kumar.
