PushON appoints trio of senior developers to boost growth plans

Thu, 23rd Oct 2025

PushON has added three senior specialists to its development team as part of its ongoing growth and expanded client work.

The Manchester-based digital agency has appointed Phil Page as Senior Developer and DevOps Manager, Rob Bamber as Senior Back End Developer, and Rob Aimes as Front End Developer. These new team members bring a combined experience of over five decades across web development, DevOps, and eCommerce technology.

Senior appointments

The arrival of these senior hires comes at a time of sustained growth for PushON, which has seen an increasing client portfolio spanning retail, manufacturing, education, and distribution sectors. The agency has reported a rising demand for high-performing, scalable, and conversion-focused eCommerce platforms. In response, PushON is strengthening its technical team as part of a long-term strategic plan.

Phil Page brings more than 18 years of experience in web development, infrastructure, and DevOps. His career has included pivotal roles at Fisheye and Youwe, especially after the former's acquisition by the latter. At these companies, Phil was instrumental in implementing automated deployment pipelines, continuous integration (CI) workflows, and cloud-based hosting environments to enhance efficiency and reduce delivery times. In his new role at PushON, Phil will contribute to optimising collaboration between development and operations teams, updating tooling, and ensuring secure, high-performing platforms with scalable architectures to support future business needs.

"I aim to bring the same level of innovation and technical expertise I've demonstrated throughout my career to improve workflows at PushON. My focus is on creating future-proof systems that provide real value for our clients. With the team already delivering strong work, there's huge opportunity to elevate our platforms and processes even further."

Rob Bamber adds more than 20 years of web and eCommerce development experience, working with both B2B and B2C businesses. He is recognised for his work on robust backend solutions and in delivering maintainable, resilient architectures that support seamless online customer experiences. At PushON, Rob will focus on enhancing backend systems for various client projects, advancing development standards, and taking up a mentorship role for junior and mid-level developers within the agency.

Rob Aimes, who previously worked with Phil Page at Fisheye and Youwe, joins PushON with nearly ten years of full-stack development experience. Rob's career progression from intern to Senior Developer has given him opportunities to lead key technical initiatives, such as major overhauls to checkout functionalities and performance optimisation projects. At PushON, Rob will be responsible for working with clients including ESPO, Camlab, and Henderson to enhance site performance, refine user interfaces, and deliver strong front-end experiences combined with effective backend functionality.

"PushON has a great reputation for delivering high-performing eCommerce solutions, and I'm excited to contribute to that by helping clients build faster, more engaging websites that convert better. I'm particularly looking forward to working across both frontend and backend to improve user experience throughout the entire customer journey."

Growth strategy

PushON's founder, Simon Wharton, has highlighted the strategic importance of the new hires and their expected contribution to the agency's technical capability.

"These three appointments mark a major step in strengthening our development capabilities. Each brings outstanding technical expertise, innovation, and leadership that will directly benefit our clients. Their arrival also reflects our ongoing investment in people to match the pace of client growth and new business wins. We're delighted to welcome them to the team."

The agency has stated that further appointments are planned as part of a wider growth strategy. This strategy aims to extend PushON's capabilities with platforms such as Magento, Adobe Commerce, and Shopify Plus, while further improving its DevOps infrastructure and scaling both front- and back-end teams.

With these latest appointments and a focus on technical development practices, PushON is positioning itself to continue supporting high-performance eCommerce solutions for an expanding and diverse client base.
