Pax8 launches Agent Store & AI playbook to boost MSP growth

Thu, 9th Oct 2025

Pax8 has announced the introduction of its Agent Store and the release of the Managed Intelligence Provider Playbook in a move aimed at supporting managed service providers (MSPs) in adopting agentic AI and evolving business models around artificial intelligence.

The Pax8 Agent Store is described by the company as the first agentic AI platform, providing MSPs with a direct route to integrating, managing, and monetising AI-driven solutions for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). The platform is positioned to help MSPs discover and deploy AI agents that streamline business processes and address the needs of increasingly tech-savvy clients.

Libby McIlhany, Chief Product Officer at Pax8, explained,

"The Pax8 Agent Store provides our partners with the tooling needed to integrate and manage AI-driven solutions into clients' business processes. As AI-enabled businesses continue to rise and clients become more tech-savvy, they expect additional value from the partners who service them. With our Agent Store, partners can discover the best agentic AI-driven solutions to drive efficiency and new capabilities and help clients keep pace with agent advancements to succeed in the agentic future."

The Agent Store is built for plug-and-play deployment and is structured to generate recurring revenue for MSPs. It offers ready-to-use AI products tailored for the workflows of MSPs and SMB clients, complemented by enablement content to assist users through their AI transformation journey. Pax8 states that the Store's features are designed to accelerate the transformation of MSPs into Managed Intelligence Providers (MIPs).

Industry-specific AI solution bundles will be available, targeting sectors such as finance, healthcare, legal, and retail. Partners are also provided with opportunities to develop their own intellectual property, creating agents and workflows that are easily replicated across clients, supporting differentiated and higher-margin revenue streams.

Eric Mink, Vice President of AI Adoption, EMEA at Pax8, commented,

"The Pax8 Agent Store is a launchpad for partners to commercialize intelligence and empower their MIP transformation. We're giving them the infrastructure to scale AI services with speed and the playbook and resources to do it confidently."

Initially, the Agent Store will be accessible to a selected group of partners before wider release planned for the first half of 2026. At launch, partners can offer AI products to both self-serve and fully managed clients and benefit from seamless integration and licence management through the Pax8 Marketplace. Launch partners include a range of companies such as Microsoft, AWS, 1Password, Acronis, Checkout, Coda, Contraforce, ConnectWise, Crowdstrike, Cyft, DefensX, Nexi, Egnyte, Grammarly, Hatz AI, HelpGhost, Ironscales, Pia, Revscale, Rewst, RoboShadow, SentinelOne, Signals, Shopify, Superhuman, SuperOps, Synthreo, Wasabi, ZofiQ, Zoominfo, and Zoom.

Pax8 has also been invited to deliver agentic AI via the new Microsoft Marketplace, adding an external validation of its role in this technology sector.

Playbook unveiled

Along with the Agent Store, Pax8 has released the Managed Intelligence Provider Playbook to guide MSPs in transitioning into MIPs. The playbook outlines strategies around delivering outcome-driven AI services, specialisation, and establishing scalable workflows.

The Playbook describes five core plays through which MSPs can structure their evolution: Discover, Buy, Build, Sell, and Manage. Each play targets a stage in the adoption and implementation of AI for SMB clients, from identifying business process gaps and deploying pre-vetted AI agents to developing proprietary automation, implementing outcome-based pricing, and managing ongoing optimisation and compliance.

Scott Chasin, Chief Executive Officer at Pax8, said,

"We are setting the stage for partner success in the biggest tech revolution of our time. This Playbook isn't just about deploying AI tools. It's about empowering partners to become leaders in managed intelligence by delivering massive improvements and measurable business outcomes, not just technology, to their SMB customers."

Pax8 cites data from Gartner indicating global AI services spending could reach USD $644 billion in 2025, with SMBs reporting up to 40% reductions in operational costs through agentic workflows. The company positions the Playbook as an opportunity for MSPs to prioritise strategic consulting, sector expertise, and outcome-centric solutions beyond conventional IT services.

Pax8 reports that further supporting tools and frameworks are under development, including an orchestration platform and a Model Context Protocol integration framework that will underpin the agentic economy and support AI-driven business practices in the SMB sector.
