Gregory Roberts named Chief Technology Officer at DS Compliance
DS Compliance has named Gregory Roberts as its new Chief Technology Officer.
Gregory Roberts joins DS Compliance with more than two decades of experience in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP), having held senior roles at a number of technology firms including Rosoka Software, Lockheed Martin and NCI Information Systems.
Industry experience
Throughout his career, Roberts has been recognised within the industry for his work on developing linguistic algorithms and providing expertise in areas such as entity extraction, ontology development and information extraction. His experience extends to briefing senior members of the Intelligence Community and delivering solutions for both government and commercial clients.
In his new role at DS Compliance, Roberts will be tasked with leading the development of the DS-Technology Platform. The platform forms a central part of the company's compliance and analysis solutions, targeting organisations that wish to leverage advances in artificial intelligence, process automation and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities and objectives
As Chief Technology Officer, Roberts will focus on expanding the company's use of modern NLP methodologies and analytical techniques, as well as ensuring the company's solutions remain applicable to both UK and US regulatory environments and client expectations. His mandate includes overseeing technical teams, setting the direction for software architecture, and identifying emerging technologies that can be incorporated into the company's analytical products and services.
Prior to joining DS Compliance, Roberts' work with previous organisations centred on designing and deploying language processing software, with an emphasis on automating the extraction of useful information from large data sets. He has delivered linguistic tools for use in high-security and commercial settings, and held advisory roles on the development of secure information management systems.
DS Compliance, which supplies analytical software, aims to help organisations improve efficiency and reduce compliance risks, particularly in regulatory and information-intensive sectors. The company works with firms across a broad range of industries that require tailored compliance and data analysis platforms.
