Commvault names new leaders to drive North Europe cyber resilience

Wed, 22nd Oct 2025

Commvault has announced two new leadership appointments for its North Europe operations.

Regional leadership changes

Martin Gittins has been appointed as Area Vice President for North Europe. Gittins joined Commvault at the beginning of 2025 and previously led Strategic Accounts in EMEA with a focus on the company's top 100 enterprise accounts within the region. His career has included roles managing strategic accounts at Cohesity, as well as experience at Hitachi Vantara, Dell EMC, and HPE. In his new position, Gittins will oversee growth, leadership, and overall strategic direction across the UK and Ireland, Benelux, and the Nordics.

Reflecting on his appointment and its timing, Gittins stated:

"I'm delighted to step into this expanded role at such a critical time for our customers and partners in North Europe. The threat landscape is evolving and the pressure on business leaders is growing. Commvault plays a pivotal role in helping customers advance resilience, achieve minimum viability, and remain in a state of continuous business. Resilience is no longer a nice-to-have, it's a business priority."

Richard Gadd, Senior Vice President for EMEA at Commvault, commented on Gittins' new role, saying:

"I'm pleased that Martin is taking on this new position in the company. His proven track record, deep understanding of the region, and commitment to empowering teams will be instrumental as we continue to expand our impact across North Europe and deliver outstanding outcomes for our customers."

Appointment of Field CTO

Alongside Gittins' transition, Commvault has also announced the appointment of Mark Molyneux as Field CTO for North Europe. Molyneux comes to Commvault with more than 35 years of industry experience, including three years as EMEA CTO at Cohesity. He is a certified DORA compliance specialist and qualified digital operational resilience officer, with previous advisory experience to IT and financial organisations in the UK while at Dell. Molyneux has also held various leadership roles in storage, data protection, virtualisation, and cloud at Barclays.

The company noted that Molyneux's blend of experience working with both consumer and enterprise sectors would help inform his approach in the new role. Molyneux said:

"Cyber resilience is a critical element of the modern business. I look forward to working closely with the wider team to help our customers and partners strengthen their resilience posture, advance recoveries, and stay a step ahead of evolving threats."

Darren Thomson, Field CTO for EMEAI at Commvault, added:

"We're thrilled to have Mark join our team as we continue to help our customers in the region strengthen their cyber resilience posture. His expertise and passion for cyber resilience and preparedness will be invaluable in helping our customers navigate today's complex security landscape and drive innovation throughout North Europe."

Market context

The announcements come as cyber resilience is increasingly regarded as a business priority, with companies needing to manage evolving threats and ensure continuity. Both Gittins and Molyneux bring prior experience from Cohesity and Dell, which the company says will be pivotal as it aims to expand its influence and assist enterprises throughout the UK, Ireland, Benelux, and the Nordics.
