Boomi named leader in 2025 Gartner Quadrant for API management
Boomi has been recognised as a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for API Management, reflecting the company's performance in execution and vision.
The report positions Boomi as the only vendor to be named a Leader in both the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for API Management and the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS).
According to Boomi, this recognition demonstrates the company's progress since the previous year's report, when it was placed as a Niche Player, attributing the improved position to a combination of innovation and the company's ability to deliver results at scale.
"As organisations race to unlock the full value of agentic AI, APIs have never been more critical," said Steve Lucas, Chairman and CEO at Boomi. "That's why it's so meaningful that Boomi is the only vendor recognized as a Leader in both the 2025 Gartner Magic QuadrantTM for API Management and the 2025 Gartner Magic QuadrantTM for Integration Platform as a Service. Boomi enables enterprises to manage, unify, and orchestrate APIs alongside AI agents, data, and applications, all within ONE platform. Our vision remains clear: connect everything to achieve anything."
Boomi presents its API management approach as a core enterprise capability within its broader platform. Its cloud-native platform is described as designed to help organisations control API sprawl, manage scalability, and deliver reliable data pipelines that can support AI initiatives. The company has recently enhanced its offering to include federated API management, additional runtime flexibility, upgraded security features, and expanded support for agentic AI.
The centralised API governance provided by Boomi, according to the company, delivers control across complex, multi-gateway environments without incurring additional latency. This is intended to offer organisations increased agility and composability, as well as compliance capabilities required for their operational environments.
Partnerships and reach
Boomi's strategy for API management is further supported through a global partner network and alliances with companies such as ServiceNow and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Boomi states that these partnerships are integral to its ability to help customers streamline digital workflows and securely manage AI-driven operations as part of their digital business transformations.
Boomi reported that its API Management capabilities are integrated within the Boomi Enterprise Platform, designed to provide enterprises with a single point of control. This integration extends to other components of the platform such as Boomi Agentstudio, Boomi DataHub, and Boomi Data Integration, offering a centralised environment for managing integration, API, data and AI agent orchestration.
Industry context
The company sees its latest positioning in the Gartner Magic Quadrant as indicative of a wider industry move towards unifying integration services, API management, data management, and AI agent orchestration on a single platform for enterprise use. This convergence, it asserts, is particularly relevant as organisations move closer to implementing full-scale AI agents across operational environments.
Boomi says its approach is aimed at providing robust support for enterprises seeking to manage increasingly complex API ecosystems in line with their AI and automation strategies, and claims that its developments in federated management and enterprise-grade reliability are enabling customers to accelerate their adoption of new technologies whilst maintaining the necessary levels of security and compliance.
The Gartner Magic Quadrant report evaluates vendors on their ability to execute and the completeness of their vision.
