Boomi Agentstudio drives surge in global AI agent deployments

Thu, 9th Oct 2025

Boomi has reported rapid adoption of its Boomi Agentstudio platform, with more than 50,000 AI agents deployed into production environments globally since its launch earlier this year.

Enterprise customers including Lexitas, SPIE, and Avalara are among those leveraging Agentstudio to scale their AI operations, moving from pilot phases to full production. This marks a tenfold increase in AI agent deployment over recent months, highlighting a trend among organisations seeking to operationalise AI solutions at scale.

John Baker, Chief Information Officer at Lexitas, commented on the transformation made possible by Agentstudio.

"Boomi Agentstudio is giving us the opportunity to reimagine what automation could look like in our business. The promise of orchestrating agents that act, adapt, and collaborate with teams cross functionally, has us excited about the potential to move far beyond simple task automation."

The increase in agent deployment has been mirrored by activity from the Boomi partner community. Companies such as Tech Mahindra, Onepoint, Sage IT, and Jade Global have developed and published more than 300 agentic workflow templates on the Boomi Marketplace. These templates are available for enterprises to adopt directly, aimed at reducing the time and cost of implementing AI-powered automation for business challenges across various industries.

Atul Soneja, Chief Operating Officer at Tech Mahindra, explained the benefits of contributing to the Boomi Marketplace.

"As enterprises race from AI experiments to production, the real inflection point lies in agentic automation that is governed, trustworthy, and measurable. By building and publishing AI agents on the Boomi Marketplace, Tech Mahindra can deliver proven, repeatable solutions to customers worldwide. The speed at which we can bring new offerings to market with Boomi is unmatched, and customers benefit immediately from ready-to-deploy agents."

Governance and control

Boomi has placed an emphasis on governance and lifecycle management within Agentstudio, integrating features such as real-time monitoring, anomaly detection, and centralised telemetry logs to ensure enterprise users have visibility and control over deployed AI agents.

Nick Patience, Vice President and Practise Lead, AI Platforms at Futurum, focused on the growing need for strong governance as organisations scale their AI usage.

"As organisations move from experimenting with AI agents to running them in mission-critical environments, governance becomes non-negotiable. Without visibility and control, agents can create risk rather than value. Vendors that provide governance alongside cross-provider support are shaping the future of enterprise agentic transformation."

Boomi Agentstudio includes cross-provider governance, allowing enterprises to manage agents from providers including Amazon, Salesforce, Microsoft, and custom accounts, all within the Boomi Agent Control Tower. This creates a single point of management for agents deployed across the organisation.

Additional features include continuous monitoring of agent behaviours to detect anomalies in real time, end-to-end support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and structured input/output formats that standardise how AI agents interact with business systems. Enterprises may also access 30 days of telemetry logs, providing accountability and compliance insights into system and user actions.

Partner and customer momentum

The continued growth in both customer deployment and partner solutions has reinforced Boomi's position within the agentic AI market. Steve Lucas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Boomi, highlighted the significance of customer and partner engagement for the platform's trajectory.

"Customers are scaling AI agents into production, and partners are bringing new solutions to market at record speed, both powered by Boomi Agentstudio. This dual momentum reflects the unique strength of the Boomi Enterprise Platform: empowering innovation while ensuring governance, trust, and enterprise-grade scale. Together with our customers and partners, we're building the future of agentic transformation."

Boomi's ecosystem now offers a library of over 300 agentic workflow templates that can be tailored to departmental and industry-specific needs, accelerating adoption and reducing implementation time for enterprises.

Platform advances

Boomi has also introduced Agent Step, enabling AI agents to be embedded directly into integration processes within the Boomi Process Canvas. This addition is intended to facilitate real-time, context-aware automation and decision-making within existing development environments.

The platform aims to enable enterprises to achieve greater efficiency and resilience in their automation workflows by integrating intelligence directly into integration processes, reflecting a shift towards more intelligent, connected automation across the business landscape.
