Attest unveils Compass AI co-pilot to speed up research
Consumer research platform Attest has launched Compass, an AI-powered research co-pilot aimed at insight teams managing survey work from initial design through to analysis and reporting.
The company said Compass covers survey creation, analysis and data storytelling. Attest positions the product as a way for researchers to reduce manual work and spend more time on interpretation and communication.
Compass sits within a wider shift among research and analytics suppliers toward generative AI features embedded directly into workflow tools. In market research, vendors have focused on drafting questionnaires, summarising findings and producing visual outputs that match internal reporting formats.
Product scope
Attest said Compass can draft surveys based on a user's research goals. It can also program existing surveys from external documents.
The tool includes an interface for users to ask questions of their data. Attest said the system surfaces key insights from survey results.
Compass also includes data storytelling features. Attest said users can build data stories with charts and narratives tailored to stakeholders.
Attest described Compass as the first product built on its "Know it now" brand promise. The company said it developed the tool in-house.
Attest said its research, data science and engineering teams worked together on the product. The company said the approach focused on research design and day-to-day workflows used by insight teams.
Speed and quality
Companies have increased the frequency of consumer research as product cycles and media environments have shortened. Many teams now run more surveys across more markets, often with smaller internal teams and tighter turnaround requirements.
Attest's Chief Executive framed Compass around that operational pressure.
"With Compass, we're giving insight teams a true co-pilot: something that enhances their expertise and frees them up to do their best work," said Todd Latham, CEO, Attest.
"Too often, research teams are forced to choose between speed and quality. Compass removes that trade-off, helping brands to 'know it now' without cutting corners," said Latham.
Technology leadership
Attest also said it has appointed an Interim CTO, Asitah Rodrigo, as it moves into what it described as a next phase of product innovation.
Rodrigo has held leadership roles at Seedrs and Reevoo, according to Attest. The company said Rodrigo has experience building engineering teams and scaling technology.
Attest tied the appointment to its product roadmap and the use of generative AI within research tooling.
"Compass is just the beginning of what's possible when you combine generative AI with deep research expertise," said Rodrigo.
"I'm excited to help shape Attest's technical vision and build tools that make research faster, smarter, and more impactful," said Rodrigo.
Company background
Attest was founded in 2015 and has headquarters in London and New York. The company sells survey software and consumer research services to brands that run ongoing tracking and ad hoc studies.
Attest said it provides access to more than 150 million consumers across 59 countries. The company also highlighted its use of AI for data storytelling and said it offers expert support alongside its platform.
Attest listed Netflix, Unilever, JCDecaux, Blank Street, Nestle, MolsonCoors, and Reddit among its customers. The company said it has raised more than USD $100 million in venture capital, and named Kismet, Schroders, and NEA as investors.
Attest said Compass is designed for insight leaders and research teams running surveys at pace. The company said the product will sit at the centre of its "Know it now" positioning going forward.
