Arlo Pro 6 camera brings 2K+ HDR video & AI alerts

Wed, 21st Jan 2026

Arlo Europe has launched the Arlo Pro 6, a new security camera that pairs 2K+ HDR video with an Arlo Secure subscription for AI-based detection and alerts.

The company positioned the camera as part of its Arlo Secure platform. Arlo said the system uses its Secure Early Warning System for faster notifications and user actions through the Arlo app.

Camera system

Arlo Pro 6 records in 2K+ HDR and uses a 12-bit colour sensor. Arlo said the sensor captures more colours than the human eye. The company said this improves the accuracy of details such as faces, vehicles and clothing, including in low-light scenes.

The camera includes colour night vision and a 160-degree field of view. It also offers 12x zoom with auto-tracking, which follows movement in the scene. Arlo included a spotlight and a siren on the device.

AI alerts

Arlo said the camera works differently from systems that only start recording when they detect motion. The company said Pro 6 operates as part of Arlo Secure. Customers use the Arlo app to view events and respond.

Arlo said customers who take a Secure Plus subscription can access AI detection features. The company said these detections include people, vehicles, animals, packages and fire. Arlo said the platform filters out unwanted alerts.

In the app, users can trigger the camera's siren and spotlight. Users can also speak to visitors in real time, according to Arlo.

Installation and power

Arlo said Pro 6 targets simple installation and integration with other Arlo products. It uses USB-C charging and Arlo said it has improved battery life. The company also offers an optional removable battery.

Arlo said customers can place the camera around the home, including gardens and driveways. The company described the product as designed for continuous use.

"With Pro 6, we're pushing security further than ever before," said Adrienne Sharkey-Perves, Managing Director at Arlo Europe. "The real breakthrough is the intelligence of our Early Warning System. It gives customers faster, more accurate alerts and the ability to act before an incident escalates. Colour accuracy then adds another critical layer-it can mean the difference between identifying a suspect or missing a vital detail. Together, they deliver a security solution that outperforms most of what's on the market today."

Price and channels

Arlo set a recommended retail price of GBP £169.99 for a single camera kit in the UK and EUR €199.99 in Europe. Arlo said it will sell the camera through its own online store, Amazon and major European retailers.

The company said some features require an Arlo Secure Plus subscription, which it sells separately.

Arlo sits within Verisure, which the company describes as Europe's number one security alarm provider. Arlo sells cameras and video doorbells and offers paid Arlo Secure plans for cloud-based services and notifications.

Arlo said Pro 6 forms part of a wider product ecosystem that combines devices and cloud services through its Secure Early Warning System.
