Celonis names Dilipkumar Khandelwal to lead customer success

Celonis has appointed Dilipkumar Khandelwal as Chief Customer Officer and Chairman of the India Advisory Board.

The company stated that the decision reflects its dedication to helping clients achieve measurable value from artificial intelligence through process intelligence solutions, with a particular emphasis on expanding its activities in India as a centre for talent and innovation.

Khandelwal brings extensive experience from previous senior roles at SAP and Deutsche Bank and is tasked with leading global customer success efforts for Celonis. His dual role will involve developing strategies to ensure customers see tangible results from their investments, particularly in the context of AI and digital transformation.

Prioritising measurable outcomes

Celonis noted that organisations are increasingly seeking concrete business results from their technology investments, especially as AI adoption accelerates. Khandelwal's appointment is described as a move to underscore the company's intention to support clients in generating return on investment and extracting value from business processes.

The company also highlighted Khandelwal's new responsibilities as Chairman of the India Advisory Board. In this position, he will oversee the company's further development in the region following significant recent investments, such as the establishment of the Celonis Garage innovation hub in Bengaluru.

Commitment to India

Khandelwal will be charged with advancing Celonis' growth strategies in India, which has become a significant market for sourcing talent and supporting technological innovation. The firm's recent investments underscore its strategy to make India a central hub within its global operations.

Khandelwal commented on his vision for the role and the potential impact of process intelligence technologies.

Industry experience

Khandelwal's career spans leadership positions in the enterprise software and financial services industries. At SAP, he led the turnaround of a critical business unit, building it into the fastest-growing cloud division and establishing an engineering organisation. He later joined Deutsche Bank in a leadership capacity.

Beyond his operational roles, Khandelwal has been involved in the technology ecosystem as an investor and advisor. He is recognised for supporting early-stage ventures, with active investments in more than 70 companies. He is also a founding member of Plaksha University and partners with various venture funds.

Celonis' recent decisions, including the current appointment, align with its intentions to deepen customer engagement through dedicated support and to reinforce India as a regional centre for business growth and technology development.
